Destroy unfair dismissal appeals. For the economy, obviously.

It makes me laugh how this is being presented as "giving firms the freedom to sack unproductive workers". By being presented in that manner it's an idea that most people would probably sympathise with to some extent.

And yet any law change would simply remove the right of ANYONE claiming unfair dismissal, not just the people who might be deemed 'unproductive'.

Unfair dismissal rules "makes it too easy for employees to claim they have been unfairly treated and to gain significant compensation.”" - yeah, it's dead easy to prove to a tribunal that your employer has unfairly sacked you.

Every day - more evidence that human rights are going straight into the toilet. More rights given to the elites and owners of the world, by the elites and the owners and elites of the world - wow, colour me fucking surprised.

Profits are soaring up, but we're going down.

SYSTEM FAILURE: REBOOT.

Profits are soaring up, but we're going down.

yup - the EU are sitting down today to try and raise £100Bn to 'save' the banks.

Meanwhile, the profits of those banks (AFTER they've paid out £100Bn+ in bonuses in just one year) FAR exceed that £100Bn.

So the question has to be asked: why aren't the banks covering their own losses with their huge profits? Why instead are these losses being transferred to taxpayers?

Glad someone leaked this so we can see the type of things this Goverment are looking at.

Never going to happen and the reasons they give are very laughable.

how the hell do you define Unproductive anyway. Obviously there are folk that do bugger all at work but beyond there it's nonsense.

and the UK has it really good. Compared to the States its a fucking utopia

no statutory holiday, no statutory sick leave, no statutory medical insurance and they can get rid of you when you want. Its terrifying.

I don't know. Currently working in the States and it makes me really appreciate UK employment law. 12 days vacation a year sucks, as does 1 day a month paid sick leave - and that's good! plus everyone at my work is doing 60 hour weeks and expected to come in at weekends. crazy stuff
