musicians dying

it's getting to a time now where the legends of music are going to stat popping their clogs. Bowie, mick jagger, paul mccartney, roger daltrey, robert plant, dave gilomor, roger waters, brian wilson, leonard cohen etc. Lets face it, in the next year or so it wont be a surprise to see a few of these in the obituary columns. It will be the beginning of the end of an era that probably will never be repeated.

Which legend will you mourn the most?

I reckon I'll shed a tear when bowie goes. Only saw he one time (at glastonbury) and it has really stuck with me. Cohen will be a bad one too. Gilmour? not so much. It will be depressing when ringo starr is the last remaining beatle (and you just know he will be)

Bad times ahead people. But on the plus side there will be loads of ace documentaries on the bbc about their lives.

Bowie, by quite a way. I may only like about 5 or 6 of his albums, but the range of styles, imagination and rediscovery he showed throughout his career is amazing. No other legend reinvented themselves as many times or as well.

Following that, Robert Plant and Leonard Cohen, more because they're the other ones I haven't seen live/haven't turned down the offer of tickets for than much else. I reckon I'll shed a tear for Neil Young as well.
