Festival Packaging Survey/Questionnaire

Hi all,

I'm a Leeds University student that's just started a packaging project which is looking at introducing an already existing packaging product/solution into potential new markets - Music events and festivals being one of them! I'd really appreciate it if some of you could take the time to complete a very quick and basic survey as part of my research! The link follows:

Thanks in advance for your help, and feel free to express any concerns if needed.

Matt :)

this is considered university standard research is it?

there is some other crap on the glastonbury forum where some clown was getting feedback on a virtual festival where you pay a fee to apple to watch random musicians on your computer.

THESE ARE TERRIBLE IDEAS.

You are wasting everyones time with this garbage.

Quit university and try and get a job before you plunge yourself into any further debt. YOU WILL NOT GET A JOB WHICH RELATES EVEN ONE IOTA TO THE DISASTEROUS DEGREE YOU ARE DOING.

Employers will laugh at you.

These words may seem harsh but please, before it's too late, get off that degree course. The world does not need anymore people studying this crap. Go and do a proper degree, or get a job.

The country is a laughing stock thanks to you and your ilk.

I did it, but only because I'm really bored ... it made it worse

one point, "live music events" and "festivals" are two very different things when it comes to this thing. for example how much money I spend, and what I spend it on is totally different if its a gig as supposed to a festival. plus what they sell and the packaging they use at these events is totally different. I'd stick to one or the other, they have different purposes and different needs. I feel as though I'm doing this for you, its really not very hard is it?

It infuriates me though. This place is plagued by these surveys.

Yup, but I help keep them under control by only allowing one thread for each.

Things would be much worse if I didn't - for example, the guy behind this has posted it three times (two have been deleted).

I remember the painstaking research I did for my dissertation. Actual field based scientific research. Hours upon hours spent in laboratories. Testing, theorising. Making assumptions, testing and proving the assumptions.

What you're perhaps not considering with the surveys that get posted here is that they're a part of this process, rather than the source of all info for the final dissertation.

After all, just about everyone is crap at designing surveys for an academic purpose, even many of the so-called experts (I've seen countless very poor efforts from some very highly qualified people with even higher reputations). But even the best people at it probably came up with gash stuff like this when they were starting out.

Then again, having read loads and loads of final dissertations, perhaps not. Some are laughable - and still pass.

heh well I am not complaining about people making these threads - the more threads the better I say especially at this quiet time - but I make no apology for ranting on them! If people post links to their work in the public domain then they must accept the feedback in all its forms...

It is not my intention to drive people away from the site, of course. I'd love for "Matt" to come back and fight his corner but he's probably too busy off spamming 100 other messageboards with his survey!
