mrtourette
That Friday is terrible. I keep saying it but there's no way that R&L will turn the last four hours of a day on the main stage over to rap/rnb. The odd act yes, maybe even a headliner, but no way a block of the line-up like that.

PurpleFire
If its Blur Jay Z and Foo Fighters i would be seriously disapointed, once again no Metal and to be frank very much left overs from last year! Its like we always have 2nd's and get nothing exclusive and nothing that is amazing! Foo Fighters were everywhere last year and if they didnt do somthing to remember Nivarda last show in england 20 years ago would be a bit underwelming! I can only see this been last years IOW
iPaulo xD
What's ruling out Radiohead from headlining? They have just announced a European Tour here : http://www.nme.com/news/radiohead/60476

gazza_20
That Friday is awesome - but aye, no chance whatsoever. I don't think even Jay-Z headlining and then The Prodigy or Dizzee Rascal subbing is particularly likely either.
YumYum
With The Prodigy being bumped up to headline download do you think Qotsa might get the same treatment from r&l, theyve got an album out next year, or are they stuck with subbing for life now? Jailbreak
Depends how the next album does, but sadly I think it would take something really special for them t be headlining. I was hoping Reading would get The Prodigy this year, oh well, if they manage to book Blur then all will be forgiven!
gazza_20
this is pretty much for efests as know one else may know but i've read that the prodigy were indeed pretty much done deal for r&l before download came in and used them to replace the supposed van halen?
lharris92
well they weren't a done deal then if they signed for download. we know from what AC was saying before any announcements that he said there was one headliner who hadn't completed the deal and would be mad not to so that was probably the prodigy - especially if R&L were trying to get them.. as for van halen, probably wont find out whether they dropped out of that supposed leaked tour and those dates. PurpleFire
I belive and think the three headliners planned were, Kasabian Foo Fighters and The Prodigy. However they didnt get Prodigy nailed down and now need a third headliner! Going to put this out there, Biffy Clyro to headline Reading and Leeds 2012. They headlined a major festival in Sonisphere last year and also some smaller festivals such as Wakestock. They are very much capable of headling or Co-Headlining with sombody else maybe QOTSA or Bloc Party? I would like to know what people think of Kasabian, have they got any chance? Or am i completly of the track.
