That's the sort of 'out of the box' announcement I was hoping for, just hope he doesn't end up clashing with the Cure for too long.

Hi all,

Am I correct guessing, we can expect some more artists already announced for the neighbouring festivals (Beni and Bilbao), i.e. Garbage, Bloc Party, ATDI etc.?

And on the contrary - those who were announced for Optimus Primavera (Porto), and Super Bock Super Rock (5-7 Jul, Portugal) are out of the question here?

thers another festival in portugal which rules out Garbage

and there is only maybe one big main stage slot left under Radiohead ..... but no one is really sure

Bloc Party are playing Super Bock, so I doubt they'll be playing, Garbage are playing another festival in Portugal & I can't really see anywhere on the bill left for ATDI to fit in & I assume they'd probably have been announced around the same time as they where for Beni.

and i still think Mars Volta are a real possibility ..... just been announced for a fest in France in the first week of July

announced for 4 festivals now i think ..... however superbock super rock or what ever you call it have probably snatched them

i sent them a tweet about a month ago asking if there was going to be three stages again this year, and they said there was. Just listened to a couple of Santigold tunes, and she/they are really good actually, the sort of strong unknowns that make for a good festival. Seems odd that they haven't added Tricky to the website yet, even though they announced it yesterday i still won't believe it until i see it on there. Very excited by that addition, Saturday was looking the weakest day but he's a good alternative to The Cure. Saw them at bestival last year and it was all a bit 'meh', went on far too long

Santigold do absolutley nothing for me .... but will be at the mainstage most of that day anyway

I think Mars volta or ATDI will play in Portugal this year. Im pretty sure about that. The big question is where? I'd bet for Super bock super rock.

I'D love Optimus but the only place they could play is under Radiohead, and we dont really know if they have another band for optimus stage of saturday or Sunday.

Maybe left another big name for heineken stage at Saturday, but, if you see the other headliners (kills, mazzy, buraka, lmfao) I dont really think they could pick this band there.

Anywhere, im pretty happy right now with all the confirmed, and I hope a nice dance names for Sunday or Saturday (Friday with Justice, Buraka and Lmfao i have enough)

Santigold not much for at all..I see M.I.A was mentioned above now that would be brilliant!

So is that 7 each day for the second stage now so compared to last year there is just 2 more slot's on the main stage to fill Saturday & Sunday?

Hoping for big things from the dance stage, i know the quality of acts have tailed off a bit lately but still think we will get another big announcement for main stage!
