russycarps
you claim it was a group of girls who completely randomly attacked a man and a woman. Note the key point here: completely randomly. yes, I'd say that's very very rare indeed. You think girls are romping around the streets picking on groups with men in at random? really? Have girls these days started taking steroids or something?

eFestivals
You scepticism is fine but the reality remans the same... Don't know what more to say to you... The only "reality" you're working from in regard to this story is that Daily Hate Mail article - an article that has already been shown as leaving out a detail which possibly puts a different slant on the true reality, an article which claims it as racially motived but where race doesn't cause the attackers to attack both white people, and where the reporting is done in a completely different way to how it would be if the races involved were reversed. Perhaps the reality is of all such attacks is different to what you've been reading each day in the Daily Hate Mail? Cos it's certainly the case that the Daily Hate Mail runs regular stories about supposedly feral drunken girls, yet when they have done in the last five years on at least three occasions the photos they've used have all been of the same incident from 2002 - and where their use of that one set of photos is different to the description put on those photos by the photographer. One day you might grow up into a fully formed adult, but you've a long way to go yet.

russycarps
I am stunned... I must go to some really rough places... The amount of times I have seen unprovoked attacks from girls onto other girls... Regardless if boyfriends are there or not is many... I don't count things like "she looked at me funny" as provocation..... I wouldn't describe crime as common in the UK. Its relatively safe place to go out at night. But as far as crime goes, unprovoked drunken attacks are hardly uncommon...
russycarps
you're take on this has been that of a neanderthal sexist, to be honest and it does happen, maybe not often, but it does

If it's all so common that the Mail regularly runs stories on it (as they have) then it's rather surprising that they're having such difficulty getting photos of incidents like that that they're forced to use the same 9 year old photos time and again, and to also mis-represent those photos as being something that they weren't. You really should stop reading the Mail, and you really should stop taking what it prints as indisputable fact. I can't see how else you reach the conclusions that you do. russycarps
You keep saying groups with men in it... This wasn't a group with men in it... This was a couple out in the town centre.... The video shows a girl being attacked by four other girls... Her boyfriend then fights back... Its a pretty typical thing you find inside, outside of bars... In most town / city centres at night... No... No... I know its the sun but the information comes from the youth justice board... eFestivals
I reckon we could say booze and pretty damn close. yup. People of all backgrounds lose the plot when they're pissed ... including some of the most highly regarded politicians in this country, who've been arrested for similar ... tho they weren't feral of course, that was just 'high jinx'. Do you reckon the girls used the we are muslims so don't drink as a cover for their parents (although I bet they got a right grounding), I reckon they are on white lightening most weekends. We've all been there (well maybe not the white lightening) I reckon they probably used it as an excuse to try and lessen the sentence - the same as a junkie uses "I'm a junkie", or a speeder uses "I had to get there urgently". People will spin any line they think will work to their benefit.
eFestivals
FFS Neil... This has little to do with the Mail... I don't read the Mail... Other when its posted here... So where are you getting your 'information' from then? You say it's common, yet russy can't find any newspaper reports of what you say is common, and you're failing to present any yourself. note: I'm not saying it's never happened, but I am saying it's far less common than you believe. Here's betting that you're suffering from the same phenomenon as that which has people believing this country is over-run by immigrants and problems caused by immigrants - a phenomenon that then has people saying when questioned more deeply on it that it doesn't apply to their own area but to places elsewhere that they're unable to name. russycarps
I know what I said... and it is clear what I am claiming... In post #38 you tried to morph it into a different unrelated point to either the OP or what I was saying... I wouldn't say groups of men / women being attacked by groups of girls is common.... It happens though... What is very common is exactly what happens in the video... and it happens in bars / clubs and on the street... Unprovoked violent attack from girls onto other girls... the factor of a man being presents doesn't make a difference...
eFestivals
Is drunken weekend town centre fights going to be a regular feature on newspapers ? The rise of teenage / young women consuming alcohol and it leading to violence has been heavily covered though... http://www.telegraph...l-violence.html PMSL That article points out that much of the rise isn't an actual increase in violence but is instead an increase in the criminal justice system being used to deal with violence. Even your own references undermine what you're saying.
russycarps
Bazza, I am going to tell you something now that is going to twist your melon. You might want to sit down before you read this. Teenage violence was actually much much worse in the 1960s. Amazing hey?! Youngsters of the so-called Love Generation were almost TWICEas likely to prowl our streets armed with a knife. The number of girls carrying a deadly blade in 1968 was DOUBLE the level of today. And the proportion of kids who are beaten up or the victims of terrifying sex attacks has plummeted by HALF in the past four decades. But hang on, this doesnt fit with what you have read in the Daily Sieg Heil does it?? MADNESS!

eFestivals
Thanks for backing me up for once Neil... See I never made the point HE made... PMSL ;lol: But you did. Russy said "you claimed that groups of girls roaming the streets attacking mixed groups completely at random is a common occurrence.". You said that you never said that. The quotes of yours I've posted prove that you did. FFS. Are you sure you're the liar worm in disguise?

russycarps
I don't know where the topic changed from it being one bloke (in your OP)... but anyway, I'm just pointing out that there are girls who wouldn't be too troubled with taking anyone on, against your (apparent) "they're only girls, us blokes could just lamp 'em while we're getting cheap thrills by squeezing their tits (cause their only girls...)" lost
guardian says 40% of all domestic violence cases are women against men, only 1% are reported as men feel embarrassed at being hit by a women.. so if it is common I'd expect similar figures.. on a personal level I've been attacked randomly 4 times in my life.. all in the north and all by men. I have seen certain larger ladies round here happy to take anyone on though..
