was almost going to work at the knebworth gig, other plans made me decide not to though.

no idea how sold out it is, but i'm guessing a lot of people who wanted to see them did so at their arena tour last year, thus making it not sell as well as it could have

I heard 27000 tickets for the Sunderland show, weird booking for the stadium of light as not really a draw any more.

Coldplay and The boss sold over 50,000 each

Aye I think it was said the capacity of Knebworth is about 80,000 for the chillis. No idea how many they've sold of that 80,000, I imagine if they just had the one date at Knebworth, rather than 2 massive shows, it probably would have been more successful. It hasn't been cancelled so can't have sold that poorly

Don't like them, but to be fair, they did a massive Arena tour last year and are playing two massive open air shows, so it's no surprise they haven't sold it out.

well arent you a charming fella ahaa i enjoyed arcade fire in '10 but not in '07. and i will never like bloc party..

their sets are always quite erratic so that was nothing new, and they did sound fine. it was the last time john played so it is a great memory none the less.

you havnt actually said what it was you found so appalling about the set.. just spouted a fairly elaborate amount of pretty inventive abuse about it lol

yes it could have been better but under the circumstances that became apparent afterwords with the lengthy hiatus and john leaving, it was a bit of a wonder that they actually played.

you obviously dont agree same as many others, but i for one was glad to get that show than none at all. Especially as i was made to leave the reading stadium gig the year before very early for travel.

This is UNBELIEVABLY strange. At RHCP's Sunderland gig during Wombats everyone got bored so kept throwing bottles at some c**t on shoulders, it was almost biblical, the sky was just a mass of bottles. They ended the song with the drummer from wombats saying "wow, I've never seen so many bottles thrown at a single person in my whole life"

The setlist wasnt too bad at knebworth, worked for me that it inculded otherside instead of scar tissue, as they missed it at the birmingham show i was last year. It was a good show but to me thers been maybe a lil less passion in the whole thing without john. Still enjoyed, but without the roaring solos he provided the live show doesnt quite fully kick off for me. Especially with the new songs, much the same as some of the new album lol its not something i'd criticize as such, just a change of pace i suppose.

They were barely late on, your talking 15mins, so its hardly some Guns & Roses fiasco.

There was a pretty huge bottle fight just before the wombats, i barely noticed one before the chilis tbh,

I for one completely enjoy Reverend and the Makers and The Wombats, brilliant support. Dizzee got everyone and their mum bouncing too, quite literally.

And i got a pleasant surprise within being there for an hour in the form of a phone call from the samsung tent upgrading me and my mrs to hospitality.

Only issue i found really was the horrific organisational skills of whatever burk was in charge of sorting out the traffic getting out of the venue carparks. I was on a coach and it didnt get to leave the venue until gone 1.30am! aha
