The Dirty Independence Question

Do you think labour will continue to support the tory cuts PT?

do you think the SNP will continue to believe that yo0u can just keep spending money with no consequences, comfy?

Perhaps take a look at a map of southern Europe, too?

There's the real world and then there's the snipper's world. Don't forget, the SNP have been opposing cuts in corporate welfare too.

I don't particularly agree with the stance Labour are taking, but it's very well founded in reality all the same.

I suggest you take the time to study a bit of public opinion - you know, the facts - rather than invent a false glory in your head.

FFS.

Are you talking about your opinion, facts or public opinion on NS ? Who is a more popular leader in your view ? I think she is doing quite well. " False Glory " ?

So after this Iran deal it seems it will be the second half of 2016 before they are ready to start producing oil again, and obviously more supply will result in lower prices. Who is going to extract oil in the north sea at those prices??

I seem to recall the raving nationalists on here dismissing current prices and saying that they will inevitably be higher on their 'independence day' in March 2016.

Thank god their uneducated guesses were dismissed by the majority of voters in the referendum!

Why do you think you can prove she's more popular as a result of her fox stance by posting something that's 3 months old?

Meanwhile I'll just point out that all the same things were said about Clegg. Where is he now?

For every fox-friendly voter who appreciates the result of the SNP stance there's more that are pissed off with the dupliciousness &/or interference in something fuck all to do with her.

As public opinion will show you, if you actually bothered to look.

You don`t " particularly " agree with the stance Labour are taking. I agree with the SNP`s stance which is good since I voted for them. They are going to vote against the Tory cuts to Tax Credits. Can you same the same. Are the party you voted for representing what you stand for / believe in ?

Or can you not agree with anything that the SNP do ? Is that where we are at now ?

Nonsense. I don`t rate the nationality of foxes as being important. Your making that up, while discounting poor Welsh foxes I see  ;)  :P

Yeah, because Scottish foxes have the same protections as English foxes, yeah?

FFS, the facts of the laws show how it is, and a Scottish law that the SNP were perfectly happy with till they realised how divisive they could make things by getting involved in something they've explicitly said they wouldn't.

Snippers - not letting the facts get in the way of fantasy ever since their brains went missing.

yep - when the prices crashed they loved pointing out that it wasn't yet March 2016.

No doubt when March 2016 comes round they'll be saying "we lost and you can't get over it", like the reasons they lost are an irrelevance.

Meanwhile, they've not addressed a jot of why they lost. The SNP are still determined to make Scotland like Greece.

Yep, the SNP still think they can vote free money into existence.

Now, if the SNP were advocating welfare spending while opposing corporate welfare then they'd perhaps start to move into a balanced policy, but they don't advocate cutting corporate welfare they think that cuts to corporate welfare are an outrage too.

There's what I believe in and then there's reality. I'm not so stupid as to think I can vote against reality.

How about you? Oh....

The other stuff I could have posted ( i only had a quick look ) was from the SNP site, I was wanting to offer something a bit more balanced. They have a story about a poll run by youguv.

Right so I said she was the most popular leader, you disagree ( fair enough ) , so I ask you who is a more popular leader ? Your response is to start swearing about Sturgeon ?

I`m not sure they do polls on this every day so I`m interested in who we see as more popular. I accept you don`t like Sturgeon, why would you, she is the SNP Leader.

Are you saying that SNP MP`s should not be able to vote in Westminster now ?

Should I assume you don`t want to discuss Labours voting intentions on the cuts to Tax Credits ? I gather they are thinking of abstaining ? The SNP yesterday ( I quoted her maiden speech on here last night ) have announced they will vote against the Tory cuts.

Your answer to my point on how Labour are representing the people who voted for them was to rattle on about the SNP ( again )  :)

Right so I said she was the most popular leader

You said more than just that.

"They have a leader who is popular across the UK ( although not on here ) and this will only increase after today."

I pointed out that public opinion is very clearly and very definitely saying differently. Why not take a moment to find out for yourself instead of making up bullshit?

Are you saying that SNP MP`s should not be able to vote in Westminster now ?

I'm saying that by the SNP's own words their foxhunting stance is c**tish.

The SNP are calling themselves c**ts.

They don't need me to do it. :)

Until you know, trying to vote yourself more money that doesn't exist is meaningless.

You forgot to include the 2nd part of my post that your quoting here ( above )..........the bit where I said ( in the same post ).......

I honestly think it`s fair to say that things are going well for them across these islands. No sign of a dip in popularity that I can see "

I was offering my opinion. You have rubbished it so I`m asking who, in your opinion, is more popular. Your just being silly if you are expecting me to come up with a poll on something that only happened yesterday   :)

but to see things you have to look, comfy.

I've looked. You haven't.

Their popularity is dipping, both in Scotland and in England.

The dipping popularity in Scotland is why you've not been making those "60% support" posts recently.

(not that that popularity in England meant anything good ... when the popularity is coming from English folks who have written to the SNP asking how can they vote for the SNP, you're very welcome to that English support )

My point is that I feel my vote for the SNP has not been " meaningless ". They are standing up for a good few things that I believe in. They appear to me to be acting like an opposition party. An opposition party to the Tories and what the Tories believe in..... Do you not even agree with that ?

I have been trying to establish if you feel the party that you voted for are standing up for what you believe in ? I have given the example of the story that they are going to abstain in the vote around tax credit cuts.

Do you believe that (just) Scotland should vote on Scottish matters, comfy?

Do you believe that corporate welfare is a bad thing?

Do you believe that Corp Tax cuts are a bad thing?

Do you believe that bankruptcy is a bad thing?

Do you believe that the poorest should be supported to get out of poverty?

Or do you believe that the bad bits don't count?

They appear to me to be acting like an opposition party. An opposition party to the Tories and what the Tories believe in..... Do you not even agree with that ?

There's opposition for opposition's sake, and then there's reality.

Mind you, the SNP like the tories Corp Tax cuts. Presumably they're supporting those? Or are they supporting hypocrisy instead?

And the SNP like the corporate welfare that even the tories don't like.

I have been trying to establish if you feel the party that you voted for are standing up for what you believe in ?

The party you support are not standing up for what you believe in ... or do you support corporate welfare? Do you support bankruptcy? Do you support Scottish laws for Scottish foxes?

I have given the example of the story that they are going to abstain in the vote around tax credit cuts.

'Story' is dead right. Very well done for at least getting one thing right.

All recent polls I have seen suggest SNP support at over 55% for Holyrood voting intention (constituency vote) & over 50% at Westminster. So I have no idea where you get the notion that their support is falling.

This thread is becoming increasingly ridiculous with Russy popping in every few days to update us on the oil price or his personal prediction of what it will be in a few months despite the fact we were regularly told oil price was volatile & unpredictable. Followed by the same tiresome rant about the wisdom of no voters who saved us from financial Armageddon.

Meanwhile Neil not to be outdone on the repetition front thinks it's dead clever to repeat the same sturgeon quote 5 times in one post. All it proves that a politician has changed their mind. Well, thanks for that mind-blowing revelation!

But wait, there's more. In a world exclusive, Neil has uncovered top secret SNP documents which reveal that they favour independence for Scotland.

Well fuck me sideways. :)

where has the 60% support gone, LJS? It was there still just about one month ago.

Is a fall to 55% falling support or increasing support? :P

Snippers were told it was volatile. Snippers said that was wrong and stated with confidence that it would only increase.

But that means nothing, yeah?

No, it means something more than merely "that a politician has changed their mind".

It's game playing, and you know that it is.

Sturgeon has even clearly stated that it is.

FFS.

Not *just* that they favour indie for Scotland.

It's that they favour indie for Scotland even if that means fucking up the lives of people in Scotland.

But just pretend that bits of no importance, yeah, so you can keep on saying that indie guarantees a better Scotland.

You loved talking about the oil before prices plummeted. I'm just keeping you all fully up to date with the current position. It's a very important point isnt it? considering you campaigned on the back of it.

Prices are very predictable at the moment, especially now the Iran question is settled. In fact, Saudi arabia are likely to increase their production to try and shut down iran, pushing prices even lower. Minnows like scotland would be devastated by these sorts of global power plays by the big boys. Dont you think you should know about it?

Or you could just put your fingers in your ears and shout "la la la" while demanding and end to austerity despite having no means to pay for it
