Now i might be showing my age here .... but isn't the person who suggested dizzee just being a troll? And i suspect that kerrang are guilty as well.

Someone previously suggested an announcement on Friday and Sonisphere have said that they'll have an announcement later in Jan. So i think well have to sit tight and expect news on Thursday or Friday

I suggested Dizzee, I wasnt trolling whatsoever, at the same rime I never said headliner, I could see him headlining the other stage with Skindred below however.

What people need to realise is this is Soni, theyre a smaller fest they dont have the booking power pf three huge headliners and a huge undercard because even if they sold out at 60k, the funds still wouldnt be there, somethings gotta give on the line up somewhere

Hey gremlin Im just winding you up and love your reaction .... but shikari are our local band and are superb live . They'd go down very well at sonisphere just like bring me the horizon have.

Im a classic rock and metal fan but have seen then lots of times.

Talking about money I've heard that sonisphere are pretty rich due to their touring format ...... but metallica cost them a lot last year so they could be strapped for cash this year.

Kiss, rage and maiden at Sonisphere? ..... i need a toilet break!

I don't care if they'd be another repeat booking, Maiden are a superb live event and I for one really enjoyed their 2010 set at Soni.

Having said that ..... i'm sure they wouldn't play Soni again so soon so i mustn't get my hopes up.

After being patient for a long time, I do think Sonisphere organisers are creating a shit storm for themselves by lack of communication recently, I'm sure they could have re-acted a lot quicker to the Kerrang advertisement, even if it was just a Twitter message to say that Kerrang may have jumped the gun? Unlike Reading and Leeds and V Festival, Sonsiphere does not yet have an established announcement date, there is a lot of negative comments coming out on Facebook and forums from prospective customers and I do think they need to give some sort of indication now of a timescale of announcement ie they have previously said that it would be the end of January, so even a vague indication like we hope to announce in the next week would at least stop some of this criticism?

I don't think it will be in, I've seen copies of the front cover on the sonisphere forums and it does not mention the festival which surely it would do if they were going to make the announcement, plus I doubt the magazine would announce it first, this would be on the official website first?

I think you maybe right Lucky, once Sonsiphere do finally pull their finger out, what I would say is that if it is not going to be in this weeks magazine then someone from Sonisphere should be telling Kerrang as once again on the radio show you heard they are raising expectation levels of punters and potential ticket buyers only to piss them off when nothing is announced.

Re: the line up picture that was posted on here yesterday, it did look good and pretty realistic but its like the boy who cried wolf, I've seen that many fake ones over the past month or so that I'm going to assume for the moment it isn't real.

As much as people call Andy Copping for being a knob sometimes with his comments noone can call him for his communication about announcements to his customers, once again he has made sure there is no issue well in advance by telling them that the next announcement is not going to be on Monday 30 Jan as first expected but will be on Wed 1st Feb and even gives an indication of how many bands to expect, he keeps punters well informed and gives realistic expectation levels on when to expect the announcements, Sonsiphere could do to take a leaf out of his book?
