His logo is a kind of a marker scrawl I thought so the s isnt rounded like an S. Also, a name that short wouldn't stick out that far to the left. Where Queens of the Stonage is quite wide. Could be the top of the S on Stone Sour maybe. Slash would be a lot more central so don't think thats it.

I would be absolutely shocked if Steel Panther managed to get a slot above Trivum. Let alone putting two joke bands back to back... no way. Not gonna happen. Would just be embarrasing.

That slot has to be Stone Sour. I don't even like them tbh, but having Steel Panther so high up would just be cringeworthy - people were bored of them a long time ago and they've done nothing to go up the line up since they were like 3rd on the second (OR was it fourth!?).

Gutted if Megadeth take a high slot too. Who actually cares about these bands anymore... they're so piss poor live. I used to look forward to seeing Slayer, Anthrax, motorhead etc at these festivals but they're just woeful.

i don't think it's qotsa, you wouldn't notice the Q, their queen part is central.

efests seem confident Queen are at soni, and kipper seems fairly confident slash is at soni. plus slash doesn't have a normal shame S.

i'm guna have a shot that 2nd stage friday is coheed and cambria, it's a name that fits all in one line

Fourth down on Saturday, ending in 'r' - wishful thinking on my part, but another possibility is Frank Turner. He would fit in well under Tenacious D, and is about the right size for the position. On his forum earlier this week, he said he'd be announcing his festival dates "over the next couple of months".

My head says Steel Panther though.

Its not Stone Sour it doesn't fit, its gunna be Steel Panther it fits with the font on the poster, which is shit IMO, knew Andy would give them a high slot, he doesn't need to, they're his boys they'd play regardless.

Wonder what high slot Black Veil Brides are gunna be given?

Well, this week

Sonisphere finally broke their silence

and announced some of the bands that will be playing their Spanish and Finnish festivals this year. As yet there’s still no names for Knebworth, and

as Metal Hammer noted

, some of the names that are playing in Madrid and Helsinki are playing Download in the UK, and therefore seem highly unlikely to make the UK edition of Sonisphere. But it got us thinking – what bands

could

be playing at Knebworth this year?

Now if you’ve been

following us on Twitter

, you’ll know that we’ve said that we know at least two bands that will be playing the UK leg of Sonisphere 2012. And yes, both of them are in this week’s Slaylist. We’ve also added tracks from every other band we’ve heard rumoured to be playing Knebworth (although some of them we

know

are going to be playing Reading, Leeds or Download instead…), so perhaps we’ve got even more of the line-up right than we know. Only time will tell….

There’s at least one rumoured band that we’ve deliberately left off our Slaylist (not that they’re on Spotify, anyway). This band is one of the names that some people are throwing around as a potential headliner….but we happen to know that they are

definitely not

playing at Knebworth. Can anyone work out who it is we’re talking about?

im a bit surprised at the lack of love for Megadeth, i know they were shite last time, but they were constrained by the "playing rust in pieces in full" bollocks, a proper festival setlist with Mustaine in form and they could really fucking nail it.

no mentions of deftones either iirc, are they ruled out for any reason, cos they fucking owned the place last time, ironically playing above megadeth.
