Heading home on Sunday/Early Monday morning

We have weekend camping tickets and are planning on travelling up on the Friday morning. We do not have the luxury of being able to use a car this year so we will most likely be using a shuttle bus from Edinburgh. We are wondering if anyone has ever attempted to head home after the last band has played on the Sunday night.. or perhaps the early hours of Sunday morning.. it would be really useful to get back to Edinburgh as early as possible (instead of late afternoon via shuttle bus) is there shuttle buses that would take people back to Edinburgh? or buses that would take us to the nearest bus station or train station?

Just wondering what options are available to us

about the atmosphere dying, I felt the exact same. on friday and saturday nights I wanted to continue partying in the tent on the campsite but on Sunday everyone went straight to bed after Paolo
