Even if it doesn't I'd imagine it would tell us about a few of the mid-NME/FR headliners due to be announced.

I'm hoping for the Lock Up stage soon since Refused could be announced with no problems now that Soni is off and I can finally go ahead and grab tixs.

No further clues really though I would guess that Mark Lanegan would play Leeds Friday and Reading Sunday if he is to be added to the line up so if he headlined the FR stage he would clash with the Foo Fighters?

We could get Mark Lanagan, Friends, Dandy Warhols and Social Distortion out of that lot. Dandy Warhols could headline FR as could Mark Lanagan.

I think if he plays Mark Lanegan will be on NME. I'd prefer that anyway

I hope so, Kasabian/ATDI clash is bad enough but a Foos/Mark Lanegan and The Cure/The Dandy Warhols would be terrible. Usually I struggle to find one headliner each day to get excited about but this year could be the opposite with headliner clashes and a piss poor undercard.

Lot's of bands have done it before and System did 3+ nights at Brixton in a row before.

If you're specifically on about headline slots rather than just playing all three days then it does happen, Blink and Arcade Fire headlined both festivals in 2010, as did RATM and 2008 and Pixes in 2005. Other bands play the three nights in a row but don't always headline all three - MCR didn't headline Rock En Seine in 2011, The Black Keys (2012), QOTSA (2010), FNM and The Prodigy (2009) all headlined Rock En Seine but not R&L. And then there are plenty of bands who have done all three days but not headlining.

I guess it depends on how different you think three festival headline shows are to one headline and two subbing, or just three lower slots on consecutive days, and whether the demands of a festival headline show are so much greater that it makes it unlikely or unappealing to the band.

It's interesting seeing who festivals had as headliners over the years. A lot tie in with the R&L headliners.

I see pukkelpop had foo fighters 2011&2012. I wonder if there wads uproar with the regulars.

Blur are the most common throughout that list.

I think that's because it was cancelled in 2011 after that stage collapsed, so they came back the next year.

Editors are headlining werchter 2 years on the bounce, good job I am a big fan.

Do they do a bigger show at the euro fests they headline as in props, light shows etc or is it the same one they do at UK fests?

From the vids on youtube I thought Editors had a pretty spectacular headline set at Werchter last year... Sugar opening the set got me really excited for their new album... would love it if they headlined NME against Eminem

I can see the appeal of an Editors fan going overseas to see them headline but it's seems strange to me that they could be big enough in others countries. I've always wanted to see T.A.T. in Poland, they are a British band who have trouble filling small clubs here but they've played huge Wembley Arena sized places there.

Yeah I can see what your saying, the belgians go mad for editors. Then you got biffy who are big here and are playing on a smaller stage at werchter this year supporting sigur ros and bloc party.

See Biffy big here but not elsewhere makes sense to me since they are from the UK but it's when the UK act aren't big in the UK but big else where is when I got bemused. You'd think an UK act which probably has been influenced by UK music would be geared towards the UK market and therefore more successfull here.

It's kind of like the band Archive, tiny in the UK but play fairly big venues throughout Europe despite then entire band being from the UK
