mrtourette
A lot of American bands will appear to be bigger in the UK as it's easier to infiltrate the mainstream here and become a reasonably well-known household name. Bands like The Killers, the Strokes and KOL are just as popular in the US as they are here, it just doesn't appear that way as your average housewife or banker is less likely to have heard of them. They still sell as many records and play the same size venues though. There are bands that come to the attention of the UK press/music fans a lot earlier than they do in the US, like Hendrix, White Stripes or Nirvana, which may also give the impression that they're more popualr in the UK but ultimately the US ends up catching on. I can't think of an American band that has either done absolutely nothing or been completely rejected in the US but are popular here. I suppose you could say bands like BRMC or We Are Scientists who have also had British members or spent a lot of time here, but it's not as if they're massively popular in the UK. the wonderwhy
Is it worth including the Berlin Festival in this?
BenMarshall
Is there any possibility of any of the Heavy Metal bands at Bloodstock UK two weekends before, playing at R&L? As I am quite new to the R&L scene, what is the likelihood of Lamb of God or Slayer being at R&L? If LoG are at Reading I will loose my shit.... Yellow_Fellow
Lamb of God won't come near the place and if they do that murderer better get called back to Prague for what he got away with. Slayer are cool, they can play again.
mrtourette
No chance Lamb of God, Slayer have played before and would probably be a reasonably popular token metal act but it would be quite a surprise.
Andre91
Also the fact that, you know, Lamb Of God are dog shit.

alex28
Randy Blythe isn't a murderer so think that's pretty unfair. I think they're OK but can totally understand why people wouldn't like them.

huntyyy
They're hardly the best metal Act but as was made evident today they are not fronted by a Murderer, he was found Innocent, no matter what you want to believe in the eyes of the law he is Innocent.
