There are different types and forms of socialism...

We don't have to go all North Korea to have socialist elements to our way of life. Minimum wages & employee rights can be had along side a capitalist economy. Good and fair benefit system, free education and healthcare.

I am pretty disgusted at some of the attacks on such rights and services coming out of the tories.

If I am honest... I have grown to like Ed more and more... I just wish he would get rid of the other Ed...

so how do you equate you saying that we should have a "Good and fair benefit system" with your view that if someone with a large family is unfortunate enough to lose their job them and their family should be made to starve &/or be made homeless by the state benefit system?

The problem with you Neil (and many on here) you focus on what you deem to be the negatives in what someone is saying and totally exclude any positives. Allows you to form a totally negative opinion...

I can see the state reasonably saying their is a limit to how much state benefit you can claim. £35k gross is a hefty amount of money...

you start off saying I distort things, and then make your own distortion by saying "£35k gross".

It's benefits, there is no frigging gross. £26k in benefits costs the govt £26k and not a penny more.

The amount of money is an irrelevance anyway. It's a state benefit system, designed to support people in need thru no fault of their own - and it is no fault of their own if they are made redundant and become unemployed.

If they're to be penalised because of their family size then the state should first introduce laws - or even a recommendation - on family size.

There is nothing of that, there is only suddenly an idea that appeals to just those who wish to penalise the unemployed that there should be a limited unrelated to need on how much support they should get - and which will penalise their kids to make the likes of you feel better.

Its called having some sort of balance... Give it a try sometime :)

When I'm PM I'm going to suddenly come up with an idea - after being elected of course, it won't be a part of my manifesto - that people with uncaring c**ts as a parent have to wear a sign round their neck saying "my Dad's a c**t". And you can then feel better about penalising your own kid along with the others.

Balance. We're all in this together. :)

The cap is the equivalent of about £35k salary... There is no distortion...

It's not a salary, and it's not a £35k cost to the govt or anyone else. There's nothing that's £35k about it.

But by the addition of £9k onto the numbers as propaganda, as a distortion, it's sure to increase the rage the small minded w*nkers who can't think beyond their own selfishness. As you constantly prove.

I've just been tweeted at that Viagogo is the 'official ticket marketplace of #nufc' I didn't realise the c**ts did football tickets as well, particularly as I have to pay £25/year for the right to have the opportunity to possibly buy tickets if more regular supporters don't go.

Yes I do. It's not just priority tickets, but any:

"Away tickets are only available to purchase by season ticket holders and club members. All tickets bought remain the responsibility of the purchaser."

http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Tickets/HowToBuy

Or are you being picky about the phrase "have to" because noone is obligated to do anything whatsoever?

I suppose a little bit of arsiness is in there, but lets face it. The clubs only do it because people agree to pay for these memberships, I didn't- and stopped going to LFC and also England.

There are plenty of clubs that will let you buy their tickets for free, and would appreciate support far more than the big clubs - apologies for sounding like a sanctimonious twat, it's just how I feel about the way football clubs treat their fans (as a cash cow to be milked at every single opportunity)

They do seem a bit of an extra way to grab more money ...mind saying that if your a regular goer but don't have a season ticket they can work out decent, West Ham give you 3 quid off every home game so if your doing 10 games a season, it pays for itself and you get yourself priority tickets. (Saying that I'd like +1 for priority tickets as I go occasionally with a few different people who don't like the idea of being a member which means I miss out on decent seats for big games.)

I thought the whole of idea of "fan to fan ticket exchanges" was that they checked the tickets were real before sending them out ?? That's how they like to justify it isn't it?

their guarantees have always been lesser in reality than people tend to think and they like to claim - they say (or did) they "guarantee" your tickets.

It's impossible in reality for a broker to guarantee anything about the transaction they're brokering, because they're not in control of the thing being delivered. The best they can do is put systems in place to compensate for something about the transaction going wrong, and in instances like this the compensation ignores the inconvenience caused by the bad transaction.

Yeah they justify it by guaranteeing a ticket or your money back (obviously in the form of credit or a voucher), so you don't end up out of pocket. In this case they're giving credit so they've upheld their end of the deal, to hell with the inconvenience. Their line will be 'if you didn't go with us you wouldn't have even got your money back'.

Unfortunately a long as people continue to use viagogo they will continue to act like shitheads.
