Bella Union have announced they're reissuing three Van Dyke Parks albums. Hmmm...

And yay for The Acorn, Lawrence Arabia, My Sad Captains, Peggy Sue, Deer Tick, Mark Lanegan Band. Some others there to check out, as well. Pretty solid set of additions, and we still don't have the third headliner, right?

Zun Zun Egui are definitely worth checking out, technically amazing but the songs can blur into one a bit. Apparently fantastic live. The Yeti Lane album is very good, opening track is immense. Peggy Sue and 2:54 should do well this year. The new Mark Lanegan album is a bit meh but Van Dyke Parks should be great (back to back with Roy Harper in the Garden Stage sunshine would be something!) Most of the rest are pretty much in the EOTR mould of bands you would expect on the lower reaches of the BIg Top or the Local. Pictish Trail play with James Yorkston sometimes so if you like him then that will be worth checking out.

lots of great additions......but it's Leif Vollebekk that get's the biggest "Yay!!!!" from me.

Especially as that would seem to imply he has a nice shiny new record deal with Bella Union!

Just had a look on the Bella Union site to see which bands were playing the Friday. That day is going to unbelievable! I'd quite like to see about half of those bands!

Bella Union's great, but I feel like we're missing out on some of their best acts with the lack of Vetiver, Xiu Xiu, Abe Vigoda, My Latest Novel and Peter Broderick. I count 26 Bella Union acts so far, so I guess there's still a chance we'll get a couple more?

There were 29 bands on the Friday last year so there is room for a few more. Of course Bella Union may have different ideas about how the sets are scheduled...

Do we know much about the day splits yet? Obviously Bella Union take up the Friday, Grizzly Bear and Tindersticks Saturday and Grandaddy Sunday, but anything self-confirmed beyond that?

Mark Lanegan is Saturday (in Italy on the Sunday) and Richard Buckners site says he's playing Saturday too

I wonder if we have a couple of big names still to come. In the largest font on the website there's seven(!) bands for the Friday (Midlake, Beach House, Dirty Three, Van Dyke Parks, The Low Anthem, John Grant and Roy Harper), three for the Saturday (Grizzly Bear, Mark Lanegan and Tindersticks) and one for the Sunday (Grandaddy). The Antlers, Anna Calvi and Villagers make up the others who we don't know which they're playing yet. I imagine at least two of them must play the Sunday and the other the Saturday maybe? Which would still make for a very top-heavy Friday, especially as we're expecting another headliner as well.

Friday is going to be immense, though probably a clash nightmare!

Also, Three Johns anyone - not sure if it is quite a comeback, but they are around in May. That really does take me back.
