Taking a Touring Caravan to Leeds

Son, daughter and daughter's boyfriend want to go to Leeds this year (will be 19, 17 and 19 at the time) and we have offered them the use of our small touring caravan.

I have read some stuff about the fact that people, especially on the last night of the festival, tend to go a bit nutty and smash, attack, damage whatever is in their sight including caravans.

Has anyone ever bee to Leeds with a tourer? How safe is it security wise? Obviosuly the caravan is going to be left unattended for some time - is it wise for them to use the caravan or would they be better off in a one use only tent?

The problems at Leeds are confined to small areas in the camp sites

I have been going for 10 years now and its always in the same places - a sort of rite of passage for young kids. - they just bu7rn a few tents thats all ?

Where the campervan field is where we camp and its like a ghost town up there .

Its a bit like saying because of Newquay , Cornwall is full of drunk 15 years olds !

Hubby will be driving down to Leeds with caravan and festival goers, he will pitch up caravan and maybe an awning but will not be staying at the festival. He intends to come home and then collect them all after it is over.

Is this allowed or would he have to have a ticket for the weekend?
