Care to give me a fixed meaning for what ethical means?

Ethical means whatever a person wants it to mean - it's ultimately just the adherence to a set of rules, and those rules can be anything.

And if I wish to call myself ethical by allowing free comment and not censoring that free comment, I am proving I have ethics.

You might say that it's not ethical to allow discussion of illegal activities, but without there being able to be discussion then any law good or bad could not be reviewed for improvement - so that version of 'ethical' ends up being less than ethical by the effect it has.

I'm of the opinion that - as a general rule (there are always exceptions) - that people are free to speak their minds and it would be unethical to not allow them to. If for some reason there's consequences back on them for having spoken their minds then they should be adult enough to take the consequences of their own actions.

Think I'm wrong about ethics simply being a set of ever-changing rules that reflect current thinking? Then you need to ask yourself why the ethical standards for every professional body (doctors, lawyers, whoever) are always changing.

Last year at Leeds they were IDing people who looked underage and searching bags. The ammount of drink confiscated was ridiculous. When we went on a second trip to the car we got chatting to the guys who were doing the searching and managed to blag ourselves a couple of frees crates. This was on the Wednesday, dunno what its like on the Thursday as have an early bird every year apart from my first in 2004.

I think it all depends on the security guys who are working at the time. When I went in 2010 I was 15 and didn't get searched and last year I was obviously still under aged but wasn't asked for ID when I got searched and the guys even found a pouch of bacci and some king skins and started saying ooo you must have some of the good stuff we'll have to give you a full blown cavity search but it's all obviously just all a joke. A friend of mine got searched as well and the guy just put his hand to the bottom of his bag without really looking and felt a glass vodka bottle asked what it was and my fiend just said its a plastic cider bottle and kept it he was also under aged

I haven't been searched in the two years i've been, last year we just wheeled and old lady trolley full of cans through and they didn't say anything/ ask to see ID even though I look about 12, and in 2010 the girls next to us had a ridiculous amount of drugs so you should be ok

I remember a leaflet that came with the tickets in 2007 explaining that 'drugs are just as illegal inside the festival as they are outside of it'.
