I was thinking today about Soundgarden. If their new album is released this year as has been said by them, they must be likely to appear at a festival next year.

Having played Download and Hard Rock Calling this year, I can only see R&L and Sonisphere as possibilities for them next year.

If Sonisphere does go ahead I can definitely see Pearl Jam or Soundgarden playing there. If it doesn't go ahead, I could easily see Pearl Jam playing Hard Rock Calling and Soundgarden playing R&L.

Or maybe I'm just trying to convince myself. I really want Pearl Jam or Soundgarden to play next year.

I don't really get the hate for Pendulum. They wrote good DnB and had a good thing going with In Flames. But I guess in EDM you have to stay at the front of the scene, and that's what they're doing.

Most artists do keep common themes in their acts, yes, well done :}

i didn't say they had to, i just said they do, it's the staple when you have subgenres defined by drum patterns.

After Looking closer on Forum and Youtube they are classed as Elctro House/Dubstep

My tame Dance ears could only hear the Dubstep and to be quite frank have never really listened to house music!

One of the best live performances i've ever seen was Pendulum at TITP, that is no where near saying they are the best band i've seen because that is just not true but the atmosphere was electric and even if their songs are very similar it really gets the adrenaline pumping

Many bands play academies and headline. Certain acts prefer to play smaller venues as it's more intimate. I'm even wrong in saying that, as these venues aren't exactly small, Brixton is 5k.
