I saw Editors last week at Birmingham HMV Institute and it was absolutely sublime. The new songs sounded great too. Really hope they're booked for next year.

I was going to post the video of their Rock Werchter headline performance which was also brilliant, but it's been removed from YouTube due to copyright.

Its weird to think that in another country editors are a headline band (Don't get me wrong I like them, but I can imagine the outcry over here if a big fest tried that!)

It is a strange one and kasabian playing low down on the bill.

Very few British bands make it in America. You have the odd exception like Radiohead, Muse and Coldplay, but a lot of the big British guitar bands are barely heard of out there. Arctic Monkeys played 3rd from top when they did Coachella and to be honest I'd doubt The Stone Roses would if they played there, just because they're an obscure band to Americans that aren't interested in British culture.

I can see why they don't take off abroad, I like Kasabian myself because their music is catchy and they've got some great singalong tunes. But it's really just British lad rock.

We thought we would give them a go at Werchter, wish we didn't bother as they were shocking. Same with Noel Gallagher.

Predictable plodding indie rock still stuck in the 90s.

I have a strong feeling Arctic Monkeys will be one of the Headliners.

For the following reasons:

Far better live now, if anyone's seen them live recent at lollopalooza and such and also Turners also become a lot more 'banterish' compared to the moody mumbling front man in 2009.

Also a new albums in the works which should be out next year.

They've not headlined since 2009 and there one of the biggest bands around with four number one albums under there belt.

I reckon Chase & Status will be the tent's 'dance' headliner next year. I'd say Calvin Harris is too poppy for R&L.

I think The xx will be the dancey headliner, despite them not really being a conventional dance act. I'd say Chase and Status are probably too big for the NME now, it'd be rammed. And also, despite them playing Download, I don't really think they fit at R&L.

i don't think chase and status are any bigger than Justice.

they played the 3rd stage at V festival last year, and subbed the 3rd stage at Glastonbury.
