really? the cure got a tiny crowd whereas mcr got a massive crowd and i know loads of people that went just for that day, there is way more demand for mcr than the cure

but the point wasn't who is better, it was the fact that an unexpected headliner is more interesting than a predictable/generic headliner like the killers

I agree with that. And I was enjoying myself far too much during The Cure to notice if anyone else was there.

I would suggest stop listening to R1 then. If you want the likes of learn to fly stick to mtv hits.

It pretty much rules out the likes of radiohead, bjork, pearl jam and the likes for a neutral fan then. Neutral fans would of had a moaning field day with radioheads set list from 2009, same with bjork at bestival last year.

I've seen plenty of bands that I haven't heard any of their songs and had a great time. If the music's good then it shouldn't matter if you know the songs or not.
