Lots of bands that have had huge debut albums and then flop by the 2nd one like Hard Fi, Kooks, Fratellis etc. There is an arguement that Mumford can be bumped up to headliner but it's not "they have 2 albums now".

I predict the headliners will be Mumford & Sons as they have 2 albums now, Metallica as they play every 5 years even when they don't and Kayne West as I don't like rap or know his music but I want to see him at a fest because I'm too scared to go to his own show.

As above Biffy would not surprise me but I still don't think Linkin Park, and not with Soundgarden below them, it does make sense, but not for R&L, it looks like a day of Download at R&L. Garden just wouldn't sub R&L I doubt, as it's been said, they very much fit the NME header in the way FNM did.

The Killers and Mumford are the most possible for me to head and sub but I wouldn't be surprised if R&L got them as a header and they just subbed at T.

I defo don't think Biffy and Mumford will both headline.

If there is a "heavy" headliner a "heavy" sub would be likely and always has been so there is no comparison to Download unless it's a straight copy of say Sabbath & Soundgarden/Linkin Park & Sum 41 at R&L.

A comparison doesn't have to be exact dude. Any dude bands that are better at a certain fest one after another can be used in this example, except for the likes of Tallica who play both and are famed for playing R&L when a new album is out, hence next year just won't happen, or I'd be most shocked.

Linkin Park played their own outdoor gig and Download 3 times since R&L, excluding 04 which was just after R&L year, there has been two fest occasions where it's been Download instead and they actually say they love going back.

That makes no sense, when Rage & Deftones played Download no went that's a R&L line up and vice versa when My Chemical Romance & 30 Secs To Mars played R&L nobody went that's a Download line up.

Soundgarden for the most part are a better fit at R&L.

That's not a good way to back it up mate. the year My Chem headed download, 30 stm did not sub, they were half way down main the next day. And as for RAGE and Deftones. RAGE are clearly like Tallica a cross over act popular with both and Deftones will never play as high at R&L, they played 5th down main in 09, we're talking same slot as courteeners and brand new and then returned to play 4th the same day in 2011 at what was called the weakest R&L lineup for a long time.

For the most part, Soundgarden are a better fit nowhere due to being gash lol

Even if it is I don't think it would affect R&L. They've already been given a big spot based on refornming, they aren't going to do it again unless they release something.
