Why is everyone so convinced Pearl Jam touring are Europe next year? After playing this summer I can quite easily seem them touring US or another part of the world and after huge fest this year I could see an arena tour coming.

If Vodafone got the Download headliners wrong it means they got the Download headliners wrong and not they are confusing the fests up as that sort of info doesn't come out at the same time especially as it's only Sep and R&L wouldn't telling sponsors and partners this early when the announcement is in March. They probably saw a fake poster and thought it was legit or it was office gossip or some other kind of bullshit.

Did Pearl Jam get a big crowd at R&L last time they played? I remember watching them from the back and then got bored and fucked off to see 2manyDJs.

Not sure wether Leeds was anything to go by but the crowd certainly was not rammed. I very easily walked from half way down to field towards the old lockup section/toilets area without passing through a crowd

Most people fell for it, although if you read the article where efests said they predicted Maiden to headline and the one about Vodafone leaking PJ the tone is obviously different. There's no suggestion that efests believed or had information pointing to PJ like there was in the Maiden article or in the article revealing who efests believed the R&L headliners were, more a story that Vodafone had leaked PJ and no more.

So have efestivals put other rumours on the news page? No they always and I mean always put stories on there that are true. There very good at that, but got burnt this time and theres no shame in being wrong.

Whats more annoying is the posters so much up there arses they cant accept that it was a mistake to put the story on the news page.

Perhaps festival organisers and acts are getting a bit clever in not leaking bands. For years and years efests have been spot on with information about rumours, in the last year you cant say that especially reading.
