Gonna have a shot at predicting/writing down what I want but being quasi-realistic

Friday-

Biffy Clyro

Stereophonics

Franz Ferdinand

Weezer

Sum 41

Super Furry Animals

Howler

Saturday-

The Killers

Mumford&Sons

The Fratellis

The Enemy

The Specials

Primal Scream

Spector

Sunday-

Blur

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

The All-American Rejects

Noah and The Whale

Miles Kane

Cage The Elephant

Plan B (I think would fit in at Reading better than someone like Dizzee Rascal would)

Just got back from seeing The Enemy. I am a huge fan so I'm going to be a bit biased but they were incredible. So so good. Would love to see them at Leeds next year. 4th/5th down main or sub NME sounds about right :) also one of their support bands, Dexters, were very good. Would like to see them on the introducing stage :)

Or LN will just make sure that Download gets the metal/heavy rock acts that Soni can no longer pick up and R&L gets the alt/indie rock acts. In theory it should make each festival stronger but I don't know if it will necessarily mean that the types of music on offer will change.

There's only going to be so many big name bands in the genre that Download will be able to afford though, and they will want to avoid too many repeat bookings. I think there's definitely a bit of room for some more heavy acts to be booked for R&L if Soni doesn't return.
