kaosmark2
And now that is every 2008 headliner talked about, along with a fair whack of the undercard for that year.
mrtourette
They were a big booking in 2008, without a successful album they wouldn't be in 2013.

kaosmark2
I think RATM were irrelevant enough in '08, now they'll be absolutely pointless unless they release a new album.
guitarbhoy1888
fair enough but i completely disagree. still feel they would be a massive booking. although i also felt the same about the cure this year
gazza_20
bit of a shot in the dark but how about rage against the machine ? would bring a bit more heaviness back to the fest, absolutely massive and its 20 years next year since their first album. would be a big booking for R&L. mrtourette
I think You Me At Six were 4th this year, they seem popular with the kids so I can't see them dropping down. They're potential future NME headliners. I doubt Placebo, Friendly Fires or Yeah Yeah Yeahs would go as low as subbing the NME. Apart from that there are some good realistic names dotted around. jump
Nope, no metal headliner next year, it's been said already. if they have a new album which is possible but maybe doubtful by then, they have a 20th anniversary thing coming up. wouldn't be surprised if they are got on a similar metallica style show download got this year. but it won't be R&L
thetime
Rage aren't likely but I wouldn't call them a metal act and I can see somekind of heavy/alternative headliner. Edited October 10, 2012 by thetime
jump
Metallica? Would be a big booking as they dont do many festivals over here.

jump
Depends what your description of metal is, people will have different ideas what metal is the same way like indie music.

VCK
From personal experience I've never seen anything wrong with the crowd at Arctic Monkeys own shows. The only offence is some really bad singing along but that's about it *EDIT* A lot of people have said the same about The Enemy's crowd. I went to see them the other night and the crowd was brilliant. Yeah a lot of the guys watching might look like chavs but their behaviour was just fine. AcademicPistol
Rock Werchter is looking pretty good with Blur, Rammstein & Green Day headlining.

Mouseboy11
Took my Dad to Nickelback the other night, they're actually a fantastic live act. Just could do with writing some better songs
Wagon
My ideal lineup would be: Fri: Arctic Monkeys Sat: Smashing Pumpkins Sun: Blur Can't see it ever happening though. I'd love to see SP's on the line up somewhere
