Mouseboy11
Can't see why Deftones would drop down a spot from last year.
DL50
Did a poster. Thoughts? I realise my FR subs are arguably strong, but looking at last couple of years, I think it's growing as a stage.

the wonderwhy
I don't think Dizzee would have to sub. He hasn't done anything except release a couple of crappy football chants since he last played, although admittedly I'm not sure on his touring activity. Reckon 3rd would be fine with him. He was really good at Hackney so would be a nice booking.

Weloveyouneil
Does anyone have any reason for throwing Libertines in the hat? Just don't think it's very nice people saying that kind of thing getting hopes up just for us all to be let down and be told it's bloc party or mumford. Andre91
Biffy Clyro Bloc Party Avenged Sevenfold The Killers Mumford & Sons Vampire Weekend Blur Jack White Editors NME: The XX Foals Alt-J Deftones Bring Me The Horizon Young Guns And the third NME headliner to be a dancey act. Chase & Status are too big to headline the tent imo. Skrillex? I also think The Enemy will sub too.

rug568
Soundgarden into PJ would be a bit of an ask for Matt Cameron. And I did just insert random large dance act, and got one that was on some sort of a break. Ah well.

Lewis Cato
They sold out day tickets for South West Four which is 20,000 people; it'd be on the big side but not out of the question, like Pendulum in '10.
GRichards23
Took my Dad to Nickelback the other night, they're actually a fantastic live act. Just could do with writing some better songs

Mouseboy11
Was at Wembley on Monday night and it was absolutely fantastic, what a show. Like them or not they certainly pull it off. Were they to headline they would not disappoint.
AcademicPistol
...There aren't any festivals in the UK that book acts like that! I wish Reading would go back to booking a mixture of Indie and heavier acts like it used to. Greenday/Blur/Rammstein are 3 awesome headliners and I can't think of a UK festival that would put all 3 of them on!

mrtourette
I still think they're going to headline the tent, they subbed Download in 2010? I can't see them subbing again or dropping down so think they'll headline the NME against someone like The Killers.
thetime
my bold statement of the day is xx will not play in a tent, they are a main stage band and will play third if they play at all.
eFestivals
Does anyone have any reason for throwing Libertines in the hat? I have a reason for throwing them out of the hat. The word is that they're planning a headlining show at Hyde Park for next summer. Yes, I know that sounds an odd one, cos I think it'll sell very poorly. But apparently, if what i've heard is true, they're in rather desperate need to set up some festival gigs, so that their reputation doesn't become damaged. So along with that Hyde Park show, expect them to pop-up at some other festivals. But I'm thinking Reading/Leeds won't be one of those others. zahidf
Yeah I was thinking that, they'd be brilliant as a headliner. Don't think it'll happen but I think they'd win a lot of people over if it did.

eFestivals
How bizzare. I guess a secret glastonbury gig would be ideal for those purposes. I assume it won't be a Hyde Park Calling or Wireless gig then? I'd off thought a Victoria Park gig would make more sense, closer to their fanbase. It's been said to me it will be a Wireless gig. I of course can't guarantee that what I've heard is correct, tho I do know that what I've heard is very well sourced. But what can't be guaranteed at the mo is that any shows will take place in Hyde Park - the contract is currently up for tender, and while it might be a fairly good presumption that Live Nation will have the winning bid, that can't be guaranteed until the contract is signed. If they play Glasto - which I think is very possible - I don't think it'll necessarily be a secret gig. It would depend on what might be within the contracts for other shows I guess. Hart Attack
I think they'd get bottled of in 10 minutes if they played Reading. Nickleback are very much a V or Hyde Park Calling only band
