Another reunion would be huge with a lot of bandwagon jumpers. There is no way in hell they would play 3rd. There is a strong argument for them headlining, especially with a new album.

They never really broke up again to be fair, they did the reunion tour around 2004/05 which included headlining R&L then toured the 20th anniversary of Doolittle from 2009 to about 2011.

They'd be a great sub though. Stick them on before Blur, would be amazing.

Mid NME? I knew that they they're not a big band but I thought they could maybe sub NME. Only got into them recently and I would love to see them, doubt there is much demand for them at R/L

I always doubted that FR would have the balls to go back to booking a headliner with only two albums, especially since at the point of booking them or at the very least getting well into negotiations their album wouldn't have even been out. However if they did then I'm also coming round to it working, espicially since they seem to be popular across a wide range of fans, and at the very least it would mean putting different style (ie good) headliners on the other stages.

I don't really doubt their popularity, I'd just find them a really boring headliner personally.

Just been listening to Jake Buggs album which is very impressive to say he's only a year or so older than me. He seems to be building up a reasonable fan base and if he carries on at this trajectory I could see him playing about 3rd or 4th on the NME.

I reckon Manics would get a bigger crowd than ATDI but a smaller crowd than last time, 2008 was off the back of a come back in popularity of sorts.

I doubt they would play NME again.

Last time I saw the Manics they were playing on Strictly Come Dancing...

Saw Manics last time they played Birmingham, sold out months before and they played the o2 Academy. Got delayed a few months though.

I love the manics, would definitely see them if they headlined the tent, where do people think they would play though if they were main stage, are they still big enough for 2nd or would they be 3rd?

When i saw them at Oxegen they were 4th under Coldplay, Beyonce and Slash

Obviously a different festival, but i really can't decide where they would be at R&L
