The Downward Spiral was the first album I ever listened to of theirs. It totally changed my ideas of what music could be. It totally blew me away. I was about 13 I think. It's a fucking masterpiece. Not the easiest to get into, but it's a work of utter brilliance.

The Fragile is also a 5 star album. All of their albums are fantastic. But I'd say just either go through youtube and watch live sets circa 2007. Or just start from Pretty Hate Machine and work forward. Trent Reznor is a genius.

AC/DC demand too much for festivals, not just money but like at Download where they demanded their own stage, made sure no band was allowed to be playing at the same time as them and were completely left off any merch. I can't see R/L being as tolerant to a band who are no where near as relevant to the attendees demographic
