editors are headlining rock werchter again. I never thought they were that big. Last time they played R&L they played 4th in 2009. I think they will play next year but have no idea where. NME headliner? or third on the main stage?

I don't think there's much possibility of seeing Editors stepping up to 3rd or NME headliner. They'll join the many mid-00's indie acts that are having to step down lineups or headline smaller festivals as they're simply not relevant anymore.

This is what I think, doubt Editors would play as high as 3rd. No-one really seems to talk about them much any more so I don't think their next album is what you could call eagerly anticipated. Don't even know if they'd be a big enough draw to headline the NME these days, they'd probably sub.

The likes of Editors, The View, Maximo Park and The Enemy have had their day I think, and in their places sit The Vaccines, Bombay Bicycle Club, White Lies and Two Door Cinema Club.

No I dont mind heavy stuff if its good, Just find nin a bit shit to be honest. Although ive not tried listening to them properly so have not given them a fair chance.

Fair enough mate, they can be pretty hard to get into. Like yesterday it's hard to pinpoint somewhere to start. The Downward Spiral is brilliant but tough to get into.

They're as relevant as The National and Interpol, and definitely deserve to be 3rd from top on the main stage. With a new album out by next year's festival (which is sounding good based on the new songs they've played live) and having not played for 5 years, there'll be a decent demand to see them.

As I've said before, I reckon With Teeth is their most accessible great album.

Personally, I don't reckon The Downward Spiral is that close to their best work. The Fragile, With Teeth and the Broken EP are all better IMO.

Im unsure the birmingham comeback gigs didnt sell very quick, 5 years is a long time for reading festival.

Yeah but Editors have always been the slightly smaller of all those bigish indie bands we had ...(apart from in Belgium it would seem )...3rd/4th is about right for them though, I'd imagine with a proper new album similar size to Kaiser Chiefs this year!

I would be reasonably happy with Editiors playing 3rd as long as the set is mainly stuff from the first and second album, the third album is dreadful in my opinion.
