Probably because they wouldn't offer him a headline slot because he's not The White Stripes.

Bloc into Sabbath?

I wouldnt' rule Libs out as Queens, Paramore and Bloc subbed with shorter gaps and if Libs are trying to whore themselves out I'd imagine FR would be one of the names on the list from past connections. Plans change and it may not even be the same source.

Bloc into Sabbath was just a I got nothing else left lol. Obvs not The Killers if they play. Not sure The Prodigy will be given it until their new stuff has it's rating, Blur for reasons I've said is no for me.

could they do a sabbath/jack white, the killers/biffy clyro, mumford/bloc party?

the prodigy, green day and metallica the next year?

this would also be all 3 the following UK exclusive, or i'd imagine.

i've put biffy in due to that if metallica due play 2014, then you'd have potentially two headers that headed and subbed download this year.

The Libs is more a Neil thing, his opinion was is was less likely they would turn out at R&L this time.

However, I don't think his overexposure has helped, as I pointed out. I think it's a fair comment to say he hasn't got the draw, but i'd also point out he hasn't been tested yet in the same venues WS were playing when they last played here. Had he not played in London at all, and was doing a night or two at the o2, i'd expect a sell out.

What About RATM with Soundgarden, they may have a new album out by then it would be cool if they headlined and Sabbath could be a headliner, Tenacious D could sub Sabbath and for the last headliner I would love Blur with Mumford and Sons but I'm sure if they will want to headline or not

Black Sabbath are a pretty good booking for the Festival, much like the cure but slightly more well known IMO.

Still think Blur are the most likely for closing Reading, biggest band which is playing festivals next year and is R/L demographic, if they're not playing then please, please, please Arcade Fire closing. Really like the thought of Jack White headlining, possibly a co headliner with Mumford And Sons?

Poster does look quite likely, seems like more and more people accepting Mumfords as headliners now sad.png

I'll do an updated poster when i have time

Also i'm gonna make a claim that if Alt-J win the mercury prize they may well be as big if not bigger than Noah and the Whale this time next year
