gazza_20
I heard that their tour would be in December Also I think if Sabbath are a Headliner, they'll plonk Soundgarden as NME Headliner against the Indie Flavour of the month headliner, to draw in a more diverse crowd for weekend tickets
gazza_20
Well Neil has put Blur down as a rumour for R/L. Also people can put whatever bands they like down in their predictions, the only reason you know it all, is because you have predicted every single band going in the space of a week. the wonderwhy
Are Reading really going to book 2/3 of Download 2012's headliners? unless prodigy subbed sabbath, which i couldn't see
gazza_20
They had 2/3 of the headliners from IOW 2011 last year...
dentalplan
With the whole Pearl Jam's tour dates not fitting with Download thing off AC's tweet; is it worth considering that Soundgarden will get the first half of the year to tour King Animal, and PJ will tour the last half of the year making Soundgarden unlikely to play R+L at all? Just a thought.
Mouseboy11
I think whoever headlines on the more Indie day, Deftones will headline the tent against them.

huntyyy
Good call, either that or playing 3rd/4th on the Sabbath day on the main stage (assuming Sabbath are going to headline.) Either way, I'm pretty sure they'll be there this year... I could see Mastodon making another appearance also, possibly on the main stage. Mouseboy11
What are Mastodon like live? The guy always seems like he's struggling to sing.

gazza_20
The point was that we got 2/3 headliners from a festival the previous year, not that Kasabian would play Download.
gazza_20
little guess at top each day and nme, quite possible I reckon Black Sabbath QOTSA/Biffy Clyro Placebo Slash with Myles Friendly Fires Mumford & Sons Bloc Party The XX The Editors Frank Turner The Killers Jack White Vampire Weekend Maximo Park Deftones Edited October 21, 2012 by gazza_20
Gucci Piggy
My point was that Kasabian fit the R&L demo and got an english exclusive on them and wouldn't play download, it was more to argue why two IOW headers would be different from two Download now. gazza_20
Ahh okay, makes sense haha. Also, regarding your lineup, I can't see Frank Turner playing opposite The Killers, they most definitely both appeal to the same people. gazza_20
I think the Foo's will play DL one day they are a highly requested band in the DL community
Black_Crow
I didn't say they couldn't, I gave a reason for what I wouldn't. I'd rather have predicted a decent selection than your silly attempt earlier to be honest bud
Gucci Piggy
I think my issue was, wether Frank against Mumford would be any better? maybe Sabbath - Friendly Mumford - Frank The Killers - Deftones That does looks better
Gucci Piggy
At least my guess is thought out and doesn't change. You have made a different guess everyday, based on what everyone else is saying. As to silly suggestions, remind me again who said they think Jack White will headline and Bloc Party would sub Sabbath.
Andre91
If Sabbath are set to headline, a day like this would be decent: Black Sabbath Jack White Avenged Sevenfold Bring Me The Horizon Mastodon Sum 41 Twin Atlantic The All-American Rejects We Are The In Crowd And then opposite that on the NME: The XX Alt-J Spector Tribes Palma Violets King Charles Revered and The Makers

Chrisw16
This is really good actually. I think Friday is pretty much spot on and wouldn't change anything. I've just added my thoughts for the other days.
Mouseboy11
Why couldn't Arcade Fire play? New album coming out, big favourites after last time.
