gazza_20
It's more likely FR don't feel Biffy can headline R&L after spending this summer playing 2nd at various other fests which even before their arena tour was their biggest doubt unlike Flo who has spent time away from the fests. gazza_20
Cheers mate, pleased about that. Saw them support Foo's and they were quality. Be good to see them at their own show.
gazza_20
I think a proper arena tour would solidify Biffy's status as a proper headliner even more... their last arena tour only contained what I would call 5 proper arenas (both Hull and Plymouth aren't any bigger than Brixton Academy)... I think if they do Cardiff, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Newcastle, Glasgow and Aberdeen they will have a very decent arena tour behind them
jump
Well dude, I reckon this should almost confirm one part of our convo on wether Biffy or Mumford next year, it's not going to be Biffy.
SOAD
Woooot about Biffy at Cardiff arena... now need to get tickets... may try go another date also just in case they don't headline a fest this year
gazza_20
Biffy not headlining doesn't equal Mumford headlining. FR will book acts they think can headline, it isn't a must that there be at least 1 new headliner or limit themselves to booking just 1 new headliner as both have happened multiple times before. LondonTom
still not sure they are now, nothing until Puzzle except the odd song bothers me. I don't think they'll skip R&L as they said they'll play loads after this year but headline I don't see.
gazza_20
....these there best albums you are ignoring! (mostly). I always kind of doubted them as a headliner in reality...they play to damn much to get a major fest to take a chance on them. (Play less = more demand = makes up for being smaller!) gazza_20
Just to point out to people, apparantly according to a guy on Download forums, a source has told him The Prodigy to play a 2 date stint at Brixton Academy in december. Someone said the other day that they thought was december when I suggested it earlier next year so might be some truth to it?

Mouseboy11
A lot of people are saying it's two dates at Brixton, I hope it's not because I want to go.

the wonderwhy
Yeah, Biffy tour is: Wed 20th Mar – Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle Thu 21st Mar – LG Arena, Birmingham Fri 22nd Mar – Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff Sat 23rd Mar – Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield Mon 25th Mar – MEN Arena, Manchester Tue 26th Mar – BIC Arena, Bournemouth Thur 28th Mar – O2 Arena, Dublin Fri 29th Mar – Odyssey Arena, Belfast Sun 31st Mar – AECC, Aberdeen Mon 1st Apr – SECC, Glasgow Wed 3rd Apr – O2 Arena, London Assuming they might add another O2 date and possibly Glasgow date. Would think it'll sell out reasonably quickly, and will be interesting to compare it to Mumford...

gazza_20
Looks like Biffy won't headline then. Dates go into April. Unless the announcement comes after the 28th their last English date!
Yellow_Fellow
I would say you are looking at more £80 for a pair

Gingo
Oooooft. Seriously? Damn. That's quite a difference from their 2012 warm up shows Edited October 22, 2012 by Gingo
Yellow_Fellow
hmmm. that's pretty annoying.. I'd much rather see them on a smaller stage to be perfectly honest. I'm starting to wonder if, regarding their roots, I even want them to be doing these big gigs!
SOAD
That's a massive arena tour!!! One of the biggest I've seen for a while. They're gonna headline another major within the next two years.. possibly IOW or Download in 2014.. still hoping they will headline Reading but the tour does seem too late on
