why have them as a sub when another festival away from what they are perfect for can bag them as a headline before they do? they are doing a huge tour pretty much, right before T or might as well be, why put them 2nd when you can hold off and get them to headline the following. Glasto would be the only UK fest that'll get them possibly before T does.

You info is from the same as it was for Mumford and it was right.

it isn't.

The info I've had says pretty much the same thing tho, of nothing more happening in the UK.

That turned out to be true for Mumfords, and it might turn out to be true for Blur.

But I still don't believe it.

have you heard the same for T neil?

"no UK festival shows" applies the same way for T as it does to R/L.

TITP normally have strong line ups and for all the talk about Biffy being headliners they aren't there yet besides 2 dates in Scotland isn't an extensive tour and weren't you saying a month ago that TITP will be putting on the greatest line up ever for their anniversary.

Why are they likely to be playing Glasto now?

That's fair enough. All I meant was that nothing seems to be certain about Blur at the moment, and event though it may be unlikely people shouldn't completely discount them

you're missing what i'm saying. I'm saying that, from what i've been told, things are certain for Blur. They won't be doing UK festivals.

But as I keep saying, I have trouble believing that. But I should do really.

So are Blur almost the stand in for The Stones?

Everyone knows that Glasto are going for the stones, and it seems pretty clear that Glasto won't get their answer until around the end of the year.

If the answer is 'no', Glasto will have to go and find another headliner. If they have to do that, every act will know they weren't the first choice, which I suspect will limit the available options (cos the egos of some bands will have them not want to be second choice). Plus lots of the possible options will by then be tied into contracts with other fests, which will make them not possible.

So, on the basis that Blur won't be doing UK fests (which of course might not be the case), and of Damon being very friendly with the Eavii, it's an easy guess to make that it might turn out to be Blur again.
