Stone Sour should be headlining Download after this next album imo. But yeah, Slipknot will do DL 2013/14 I think.

Yup along with Pendulum a different night I reckon, Pendulum, Bullet/A7X co-headline and Slipknot would not surprise me, wil be a 3 year gap since both subs played. Don't think any of them will appear next year.

I'd have a guess at maiden for next year to be honest.

Slipknot are probably the only band I actually hate. Those masks FFS.

Got no problem with them headlining though, as long as there is a bloody good band on NME.

I can't see Download doing a co-headline slot and I doubt Bullet will ever reach headline status now.

The only thing that annoys me about Slipknot is they sing songs about hate and when they play live they keep talking about love.

It amazes me that there are people out there who take Slipknot seriously. I struggle, what with the ludicrous amount of gimmicks they have.

The only reason Slipknot are popular is the masks. They created a brand for themselves and it works. Without the masks and the aura they create, Slipknot aren't the same band and wouldn't be anywhere near as popular as they are.

They've changed a lot though from when they did the debut and IOWA. I saw an interview with Corey and he said that he isn't in the same place he was when they started out. He also said something like he goes on stage screaming songs about being angry etc but he just isnt that guy anymore.
