Nope, I think she's the highlight of the entire track, I was blown away by that verse. This girl who barley anybody had ever heard of at the time came in and blew 3 of the most established rappers in the business right out of the water, it was quite something to hear on that first listen. That was all I ever heard of Nicki Minaj until Pink Friday came out, that steaming pile of shit is one of the worst purchases I've ever made.

Blur aren't finished after the Olympics, Albarn went back.on what he said. And I think Biffy will headline next year, not sub, and I highly doubt Green Day will play. Also, Stone Sour are doing stuff next year, so I doubt Slipknot will be too, and when Slipknot are back they'll surely headline Download I reckon.

I'm liking this, i know Reading doesn't usually do rap but surely Jay Z would go down well, or maybe Watch the Throne will do something?

Also definitely think Slipknot are due a return and could headline, and I'd put money on Biffy sub heading someone next year? Possibly Green Day? Even though i want to avoid the Green Day rumour mill this year because i am

getting so bored of it

As for Blur though it looks like they may be finished after the olympics :(

^ That would be a great lineup. I'm thinking Editors to sub next year!

*edit* Please let WTT be booked.

Bloc Party

Editors

White Lies

Biffy Clyro

The Prodigy

Stone Sour

Watch The Throne

Mumford & Sons

Dizzee Rascal

In regards to Andre's lineup, I think this would be a more realistic version:

Bloc Party

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

Editors

Biffy Clyro

Pendulum

Lostprophets

Watch The Throne

Mumford & Sons

White Lies

And I would swap the Friday and Saturday round :)

Some of these recent predictions are terrible although that could be down to me being an old git! They really do seem to be crying out for someone of the caliber of Metallica, Blur or Green Day but as I say it's probably an age thing.

This does look more realistic, i can see Bloc Party being bumped up to headliners next year, and can also see Pendulum, Mumfords and Noel G subbing

However i still don't think Biffy will headline but that's just my opinion, which will maybe change after their album this year, certainly if they have another single as big as Many Of Horror i could see them headlining

I also disagree with Lostprophets at 3rd, their album this year bombed and doesn't look like any big festivals want them any more, apparently at V they asked to play earlier because the day before their crowd was so small because so many went to see Example instead :/ so don't see how they can move back to 3rd next year

I can't see Bloc Party and Biffy getting the push together. Both are decent but nothing more for me. I guess there is a serious lack of acts that could make that step up though. I would love to see The Enemy make it big with this new album as they are constantly superb but I just can't see it.

I currently think Biffy, The Killers and Blur/The Stone Roses will headline. With my previous lineup I was just doing a reshuffle of Andre's :)

I agree about the acts making the step up, but I believe there's a quite a few who'll be there soon (Mumfords, Black Keys, Elbow etc.). I can see The Vaccines being given a sub spot next year to ready them for headlining in the future. Whether they deserve it another matter. And I'd love White Lies to become headliners soon. :)

I absolutely love The Black Keys so would love them to make the step up. Hopefully a new band will come from nowhere like The Arctic Monkeys or The Strokes. Anything to stop Mumford headlining really although given their popularity I think it's inevitable.

When Neil confirmed Florence as sub I was delighted just because it meant they weren't headlining! I can see Mumford at V as they seem to fit there, are very much of the moment, and I think V will offer more £££. The only thing that may get them to R&L is if they are offered headliner rather than sub elsewhere. I am just really hoping for a curveball like The Cure this year or Pulp last year, something for older buggers like me as I don't think I will get to any other festivals bar R&L next year.

I am going to keep the faith! I really think they need something to stand out and taking any personal preferences out of it I don't see a line up with both Biffy and Bloc Party headlining selling the best part of 200,000 tickets at over £220 a pop. If we are requesting curveballs Soundgarden or Smashing Pumpkins please!!! Oh and Slash would go down very nicely indeed.

Depressingly it looks like Mumford now have to popularity to become a headline act after their next release, but I think they suit V fest much more. Where has good music gone to? I mainly go to the fest to see the older bands now, I always moan about the new bands, it's a sad situation seeing as I'm 20 years of age. I came of age just as the big bands of the day went shit or broke up, (Strokes, Libertines, Arctics etc.), then cheesy, manufactured pop came back in vogue as I hit my formative years, shit timing really. My only consolation is that I got the reunions of Pulp, Suede, The Stone Roses and Pixies, but it's a bugger when all your favourite music is borrowed from other generations. And I'm sorry for derailing the thread with my bellyaching.
