thesecretingredientiscrime
And those shows will be amazing as the hardcore fans will cover up his terrible voice and the weekend on the whole is a one off event - the big homecoming etc. I only ever saw this as a one summer thing and I expect the shows at at T and V to be second rate. BTK1609
I really don't think they reunited to give the fans new material though. Call me an old synic but to me it seems clear it was only ever about £££. And I love them but some things are just best left in the past as they spoil memories. I would love to be proved wrong on all this though.

eFestivals
there's a vid of last night kicking around. It ain't what it's been reported as being.
Gucci Piggy
I see Dinosaur Jr. are releasing a new album in September. Would they play R&L? And if so, how high do you guys reckon they would play?

kaosmark2
Low-NME/FR headliner. Quite mixed live, seen them 9 times so far (11 if you count seeing J Mascis playing their songs), and they've been great 6 of them, average twice and poor once. The Mean Bean
Dinosaur Jr. would be great, I'd love that, but I think R&L is just being geared more and more towards the kiddies now, we're unlikely to see them.
mrtourette
People keep predicting them every year but it's unlikely, plus there was also a rumour that they didn't like playing (not sure if that was R&L or festivals in general). They were great in '07 and from what I recall had a fairly hefty crowd but nowadays I think they'd be more liekly to play the smaller, cooler festivlas where they'd be higher up. kaosmark2
They've done a fair number of ATP shows, whether touring with other ATP-type bands (either support or headline), a couple of the festivals, etc. I don't think they've done an outdoor fest in a few years. Whittick
Yeah I saw an interview with them (it's somewhere on Youtube) from the last time they played. They said that they used to love playing Reading, but it has changed too much to enjoy it as much as they used to. They don't like that bands can't mingle as a community like they used to, and get cordoned off to their particular stage. Plus I doubt they get the appreciation they truly deserve, which is a shame. I think they would be a perfect FR headliner, and controversially mid afternoon Main. 7th down or something. Vieuphoria
"Don't Even Pretend.... You Don't Like Us..." Says it all really. [media=] edit: That said the crowd is a lot bigger than I remember... and the crowd seems to be a lot more in to it than I remember. them not being appreciated actually seems unfair now looking at this vid. Seems to be a lot of respect for the crowd that did show up. I think they're a perfect tend band. Edited June 14, 2012 by Vieuphoria

Mouseboy11
What does he like? Only genre it doesn't have is probably metal. Will be trying for Glastonbury ticks next year after a 5 year hiatus.
