Working your way up and having good sales doesn't automatically mean you deserve to headline; you also need to be decent to deserve it (obviously that's subjective, but whether they're deserving or not is subjective in itself), which they aren't at all, and they've been shit by all accounts the last two times they've played, whilst having a poor live reputation in general. So no, they don't deserve to headline.

Although I hate Paramore live, don't rate them at all, a lot of people I know do. They get a massive kick out of seeing them perform live so I'm not sure you can say they have a poor live reputation in general, it's more just on this forum Will.

I thought they were dull in 2012. Not shit, dull. I have no issue with them being bumped up, in terms of status they're the right size to, and it's better for the music scene if we get different shitty pop-punk bands headlining than did 4 years ago.

If Blink 182 can headline twice in four years Paramore can definitely get away with being bumped up.

I didn't see either set, but the majority of reaction I've seen about both is that they were bad. Even my Paramore fan friends said they were rubbish in 2012.

Yeah but Blink-182 shouldn't be headlining twice in 4 years, so they'd better not use that as a benchmark.

I thought Paramore were really good in 2012, but I was a big Paramore fan back then and I'm not any more and someone I knew said they were good on their tour. I hate Paramore but I'd agree with you, they do deserve to headline

As I say it wasn't just on this forum. My friends said they were shit, and they're fans, and they're also the kinds of people who come back from seeing any band they like saying they were amazing, so I was quite surprised for them to say they sucked.

I don't think Paramore's reputation as a live act is their problem. Their last tour was great fun by the sounds of things. Certainly anyone I knew that went enjoyed it. The problem is the number of folk who SEEN them on the tour.

R+L could do a lot worse quality wise, but I don't think they're at the level.

I've seen paramore 4 times. They were shite at Leeds 10 and just boring and average the other 3. My wife's loved them every time though.
