Agree 100%. I can agree it's not their best song ever but It's surely my favourite. Win's vocals are just something else. He did an acapella version of the first verse and chorus at the Roundhouse in November and god it was beautiful.

Well, that's a lie, I say front row but I mean 'near the front' , I was about 2 or 3 people back and kind of right/centre of the stage. Was such a great show a great week for gigs - I saw Royal Blood for the first time on the Monday, The Reflektors on the Tuesday and Editors on the Thursday!

I saw Editors on the thursday too! That was a great week of gigs tbf, there seemed to be so many great acts touring around then. That tuesday was probably the best gig I've been to. Never again will I be able to dance with the frontman of one of my favourite bands + request a song to a DJ which just so happened to be the frontman of coldplay

Note: I do not like coldplay but was a brilliantly surreal experience!

I was thinking of doing a thread where people can write a report/ quick review on recent gigs they have seen involving anyone at Leeds this year (to help with people wanting to know if they should go see a band ect...) since people write stuff on this thread already

would anyone be willing to get involved? (people have been to Royal Blood for example) because if not then i wont bother

Have you heard any of their other albums? There's a reason they hardly play any Neon Bible tracks live. It's cause they're not as good as their other albums. It's a great LP but badly laid out (My Body is a Cage is oddly placed to say the least).

Have you heard Reflektor? Its not Arcade Fire standard.

I met Tim too! Nice chap. Also got to chat to Richard - for a guy who was in quite a bit of pain due to a nasty back injury he was lovely enough to have a quick chat! Dancing with Win though will always be the highlight for me

I'd still say Reflektor's lyrics trump the majority of that on NB. I think it's a difficult call seeing as it's a little bit different to their first three LP's.

I think there was one like this last year. I even signed up to post on that thread but there was something wrong with that account that didn't allow me to post until I made this one in August

The lyrics are stupid and try-hard. That doesn't make it difficult, as a band you're supposed to put out different albums each time.

As a journalist I would have expected you to be able to see it's positive notes as well as it's negatives. The lyrics are neither stupid nor try hard. I could go on about how much some of the songs' lyrics are spot on and speak truths that I've never heard from any other artist/s before but I doubt you'd care if you're, I hesitate to say, immature enough to write off an entire album's lyrics as 'stupid and try-hard'.

This we can agree on Matt. I saw Deadmau5 a few years ago (won tix, would never pay £50 to see him) and it was the dullest hour and a half I've ever stood through.

Also, just if we didn't know already, The Prodigy are definitely out of playing R&L now as they're at Global Gathering. This was clear anyway but I'm sure someone will still suggest them before March 10th.

hes too big for nme headline, but doesnt fit on main. furthermore disclosure are our dance nme headliner.

It's a fairly common opinion that Reflektor's a poor effort for Arcade Fire.
