Just on a side note about albums released in 2013 vs 2014, around this time last year we had the latest releases from Arcane Roots, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Wonder Years and Vampire Weekend and (if you're Kaos) Random Access Memories was to be released a few days later....

Yeah, I defiantly agree that 2013 was better (for me anyway)

I think 2013 had more big name albums from some really well known and brilliant bands but 2014 has some superb albums by some lesser known bands that are equally as great. I don't know why we're comparing tbh, both years have had some stunning releases.

The Wonder Years aren't a good band...

You haven't listened to The Greatest Generation have you?

I've just felt it has been a little lack lustre this year so far for me that is all :(

PABH are still fucking ridiculous live but fuck putting them on the Main Stage

This. I was there in Southampton tonight too :D (in the Shikari shirt, if you saw me). Them on FR in 2010 remains one of my favourite Reading gigs ever and they were bringing back memories of that just now. Get them back on there Melvin!

hahaha wasn't the best identifier :P I was down at the front, by the stage stairs - next to their crowd manager dude

Cool, well, I probably had some bodily contact with you at some point. Which is not something that can often be said to anonymous strangers on the internet :D.

New songs sounded damn good, and High Five Swan Dive Nose Dive was my highlight :).

Some of my friends love it, and they have questionable taste, so I've never felt encouraged to listen to it really.

Can blamed you to be honest. Last time I listened to an album because lots of my friends liked the band was ThirtyTwo by Reverend and it was fucking shite so I've never trusted them again.

On a side note. I listened to Luminous today and it was really enjoyable :D

Tthe electronics on it reminded me of Mass Effect and that is great considering how much I love Mass Effect 2
