Com Truise
I know The Kooks are shit but saying they're similar to 1 Direction is a bit harsh Harsh on One Direction sure
kemosabe
wonder where next years event will be... North East, Yorkshire or Midlands seem good bets... but then they might go somewhere like Cornwall or Portsmouth to bring it back to the south after a few years away
mattgimmeshelter
Never anywhere near I live If I got free attendance, i'd see all the bands i'd never pay to see - I'd probably see the poppiest acts on the lineup and tick boxes. What most people attending seem to do. Edited May 24, 2014 by mattgimmeshelter
Chavmeisterdeluxe
It's hardly ever been in the south, once in London, once in Swindon that's about it.

The Placid Casual
I live in North Wales, most bands only seem to think the South exists...
Mouseboy11
My local council are trying to get it, then again the events planner is a massive bullshitter so he's probably lying.

justanothername
I'm not bothered if the Big Weekend came near. Would try to get tickets for sure but there isn't much I'd see
Yellow_Fellow
I'd like to see it in Southampton, if not only to gridlock the entire city forever
The Placid Casual
Speaking of Big Weekend, Bangor did have it quite recently, so there's no chance we'll ever get it

kemosabe
Dunno how Lily at Reading would go down.... surprised she isn't doing T though, how did that happen. Think she would do well tbh... Although she is a pop act is she any more so then the likes of Imagine Dragons or Bastille which had big crowds?? She has that same sing along factor that Frank Turner has at R&L which is great when drunk. Also it helps that her lyrics are witty and clever not boring pop music you get
kemosabe
Can someone confirm whether Lily Allen writes her own songs or not? I've heard conflicting stories I believe she does. as she has in the past criticized others for not doing that... She also spent alot of time explaining the meaning of her music (suggesting she at least co wrote them) http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/music-news/10760558/Lily-Allen-the-return-of-pops-most-outspoken-star.html By her own admission, Allen does not have the most amazing voice in pop; nor is she an incredible musician, although she knows her way around a guitar and a piano. ‘The only thing I can do really is write lyrics,’ she says. DarthSaul
She also spends a lot of time slagging off her own songs, which is weird if she writes them
