Sorry Tourette random post again

Just realised that Macklemore & ryan Lewis are subbing off one album.

Weren't arctic monkeys the last band to do that? I just realised how long it had been since we had an act which had done that.

Nothing wrong with random posting, just seems odd that you would make points/ask questions that are i) wrong/misinformed, ii) don't make sense, and iii) have already been discussed before.

In this particular case as others have pointed out Macklemore has released more than one album as well as various EPs and a mixtape (i), and this was also widely discussed at the time of the announcement (iii).

In answer to your point, Kaiser Chiefs also subbed on the back of one album in the same year, The Killers did it the year before and 50 Cent in 2004 (as well as The Darkness headlining on the back of one album that year). I guess when people say the line-ups were stronger back then and that bookings like Macklemore and Jake Bugg make the festival look weak compared to back then they're talking bollocks.

Anyone know what happends if you buy a ticket too late for them to send out to you? Is there a pick up place at the festival? Also does anyone know what the lastest you can turn up on the Thursday as i seem to remember there is a deadline (or there was the last two years)

Probably.

If you buy a ticket too late to post then you have to pick it up from the box office, as those purchasing tickets from abroad have to.

I'd be very surprised if they shut the box office before the weekend, in theory there could be people buying day tickets form abroad who want to pick them up that morning. I'd imagine it's still possible to buy, for example, a Sunday day ticket on the Friday so there would need to be somewhere to collect it from.

They failed in delivering my ticket a couple years ago and it wasn't the box office at the site I had to go to but the theatre in Reading centre. Assume would be the same for picking up any tickets?

thats shit. Maybe Leeds would be different as its outside of the city?? At least I hope so :(

There isn't a box office on site anymore, the Hexagon is where all tickets are collected. That's what people mean when they refer to a box office, just a ticket collection point. I think the only booth/office on site is for guest pass/list entry.

What happened to this festival? It used to boast the best lineup outside of Glastonbury, now not only can they not put some decent bands on (minus Blood Red Shoes) they don't even provide toilet paper, 9 years in a row I went here, can't see myself ever going again, the smaller festivals provide a much better festival experience and atmosphere.

It's sold out, so is clearly doing a decent job appealing to it's target market. You (and I, and many others here) just ain't it.

Well for you...yes

On the other hand I think the line up is great. I prefer it to Glastonbury this year (would still have like Arcade Fire though :P ) as it has more bands that I like. It is all down to what music you like really
