Don't get me wrong, they're a vsild business (although local caffs being usurped by megacorporations does irk somewhat), it's more the infestation into every other area of the high street, including people who couldn't possibly wait to get home for a coffee or waste time sitting down ina coffee shop and are so desperate that they have to wander around shops with Starbucks and Costs cups in hand.

Agree with all of that, I mostly try and go into local ones rather than the corps, haven't ever bought anything at Starbucks. The wandering round is irksome as well, surely you can spend some time sitting down to enjoy it?

as usual it will be hyped up, then announced around 7.25pm after being teased for several minutes in between each song played before the announcement.

      John Gunne I still don't think the Arctic Monkeys will be there, they're doing Finsbury Park. Sabbath are touring Europe throughout June. They may be at Sonisphere Knebworth, which is being announced at 5.30pm tonight.

We won't find out about Sabbath tonight. But yeah, I wouldn't 'trust him' if he said the exact ones I thought would headline.

I do think the first headliner announced will be a Sabbath, AC/DC type act. Someone fairly rocky and probably a bit older to draw in the Download lot and detract away from Soni's repeat bookings. I think the best we can hope for on that front is Pearl Jam.
