I'd much rather they book headliners who some mignt feel are not quite there yet, but are definitely in their ascendancy than a band like Muse who are headline level by default but absolutely by no metric in any thing close to ascendancy.
It's the same sort of situation there for me, I've no interest at all in Fred Again and wouldn't see him, but would be more than happy if he got the headline slot as that also seems fresh and exciting.
I love that Glasto can give acts that slight push up into headline status when some people believe they're not quite there yet. Sometimes it works out sometimes it doesn't but I love that as a festival they're willing to try.
