Asdaprice
I think NIN, Avenged Sevenfold, and someone like Bon Jovi will headline Download next year, which is to say I don't think avenged will be at reading
sjseabass
I don't think you'd get that Paramore day top 4. They spread similar acts out more than that.

Frankly Mr Shankly
If by "open nme stage" you mean it should be an outdoor stage, then NO! The brilliant thing about the NME stage is the big top tent, it adds much more atmosphere to the performances & the crowd. Download's second stage for example had a much better atmosphere pre 2008 when it was in a big top.
Tobieski
With Dizzee rascal, you me at six, and baby shambles playing a new open nme stage....? What makes you think they'll change it to an open setup on the NME??

But actually, looking back, I think Dizzee would be fine against the arctic monkeys. He isn't as hyped as he used to be...but then I guess we have to see how this new album does

If those were the headliners, they'd be much more likley to clash Arctic Monekys with You Me At Six. Dizzee with Metallica & Babyshambles with Prodigy. rawaudioinput
This could work: Arctic Monkeys Vampire Weekend The Maccabees The Prodigy Dizzee Rascal Bastille Blur The Vaccines Two Door Cinema Club With NME headliners Nero, Frank Turner and You Me at Six. Thoughts?

Thoughts? My thoughts are.... Yes to headliners if Metallica play download again....but I really do think they'll be at reading. Think Bastille will be at v. A year away from reading anyway. Think they'll try and have fresh nme headliners that haven't played this year for frank turner.
Tobieski
Reckon if The Prodigy play they'll have a heavier undercard

rawaudioinput
I think Ben Howard is too big to sub NME, All Time Low and The Gaslight Anthem too small to play 4th, Dizzee Rascal too big to headline NME and Billy Talent far too small to sub NME. Plus I don't think Shikari are big enough to play 3rd yet, but if they gave Deftones the push then maybe. I think Babyshambles is a bit of a poor NME headliner too but I guess we'll see depending on how their tour sells. I'd probably get a day ticket for the Friday because I still desperately need to see The Prodigy.
Frankly Mr Shankly
Reckon if The Prodigy play they'll have a heavier undercard Depends who the other headliners are though. If QOTSA sub to Arctic Monkeys as it's been suggested a few times on here, then I could see a pretty heavy/cross over under card beneath them & then an indie/dance/hip hop line up under the Prodigy to encourage weekend sales. Gucci Piggy
Queens of the Stone Age The Prodigy Enter Shikari The Horrors Bastille Mumford & Sons The Vaccines Two Door Cinema Club Babyshambles Crystal Castles Metallica Slipknot You Me At Six All Time Low Jamie T Queens of the Stone Age being exclusive, and The Prodigy playing everywhere. Reckon Arctic Monkeys will end up at IOW and we'll unfortunately get Mumford & Sons. Probably miles off and we'll probably end up with a load of shite folk bands that don't exist yet taking up prime slots.

That's a valid point, however I was thinking a heavier day under the prodigy, with an alternative/dance/hip-hop orientated NME, Then a mix of alternative/heavyish bands on the Arctics day with a dance/hip-hop NME and then a predominantly Alternative mainstage on the roses day, with a heavier NME. Saying that, your idea is just as likely to be honest
