The police were right to ignore Jo. She's absolutely nuts and makes up SO MUCH STUFF about Watkins.

The police do not ignore any complaint, or they shouldn't. If they chose to ignore that's why they are being investigated I presume.

By law they have to follow up any complaint.

Well, without evidence, I'm afraid I'm not going to blindly follow conjecture.

not evidence, per-se, but in the other thread (Ian Watkins is a nonce) somebody quoted that woman (the call-girl / ex of Ian's) saying that she'd told the band members (specifically naming Jamie) about what was going on and they ignored it / acted like she was a crazed fan (as most people seemed to) which is especially shocking as it was warning him to not let his child be around Ian after she saw a picture of Ian and the child

so not evidence, but they were not totally clueless about it. they'd heard things. and that should've been enough to make enquiries (i also fail to believe that, regardless of that info, they knew NOTHING, but as Neil said in the other thread, chances are they were also guilty of sex with groupies, some of whom were possibly underage, and so they didn't want to incriminate themselves)

If someone makes a complaint they have to investigate, which is why 3 police forces are being investigated in failing to do so.

Someone made a complaint against me about 7 months ago and I was investigated, only in the last 6 weeks have I been cleared.

Several people from police, solicitors, CAB have told me as I made a complaint police have a duty to investigate all complaints no matter how bizarre. The police forces in question didn't do this and deserve investigation, they could of stopped abuse.

Someone made a complaint against me about 7 months ago and I was investigated, only in the last 6 weeks have I been cleared.

After today's events, I wouldn't be surprised if she was telling the wholehearted truth, and also as thetime said, they shouldn't be ignoring it, surely if they'd looked into it, even if she was lying, they would have uncovered the truth?

what she's said before today contradicts what was learned today. Additionally there's no way she knew, her relationship with Watkins wasn't nearly personal prior. She knew nothing of this event and she's making it up again. I'm not defending Ian. But she's a notorious liar.

Additionally; there are huge, huge omissions from this story that she has claimed before today.

I watched a Channel 4 thing on it and the police admitted complaints were made to them about Watkins the times Jo said she contacted them.

So it's all bollocks saying she shouldn't have been believed. She was saying he was into kids and was a threat to them. It turned out he was into kids and was a threat to them. That simple. The police should have investigated it as soon as they heard, especially when it's as serious a claim as that.

But yeah, police messed up and now some kids are gonna have to live with being abused. Sad sick world we live in but at least he as one of many sick individuals has gone now
