It's debatable I reckon. They're never gonna be a sub band, might be more of an accolade to headline a tent than to play 3rd down a main stage. In some cases, third down is better, but I think it's not really a "step down" to headline NME.

I agree, also they should never of been 3rd imo...far too big of a jump up from where they were the year before considering how big they are

I agree, if I were in a band if I got offered 3rd down or headlining the tent it'd have to be headlining the tent. More people just to see you and bands always have a better atmosphere in their

Let's have some post-rock...

  • Caspian
  • 65daysofstatic
  • Explosions In The Sky
  • God Is An Astronaut
  • Sigur Ros

YES!

Hart Attack is evolving!

Although EITS bore me to tears.

I find Sigur Ros far more bland on record than EITS. Both are ace live though. Find 65DaysOfStatic fairly unimpressive as well.

65Days and Sigurs Ros are good, although it all gets a bit samey.

They do. Not all post-rock bands.

:ninja:

(successfully resisted urge to namedrop for a whole post about post-rock)

Just saw some arctic monkeys fan girl asking who the fuck arcade fire were and why a band she hadn't heard of are headlining Glastonbury...

To be fair, Arcade Fire aren't the mods, understandable really. The Courteeners should be headlining instead, Liam Fray sings proper tunes about real life.
