A lot of bands play Rock en Saine and R&L on the same weekend as its easy to get to one to the other as they're relatively close. I suppose its a nice positive indication Queens could play :)

Okay well it's just to play R/L they need to be doing more than one day that weekend.

Suppose there's not much difference between me going to Notts/Manchester anyway, won't be able to get a train back either way, just don't know my way round Manchester :(

You probably could've slept on my floor :P

QOTSA will play 3 nights in a row :)

They're doing Frequency in Germany the week before. So looks like they're doing Europe in May/June and August, with a return to the states in the middle. Would rule them out of July fests (Werchter) for people looking in to that. Placebo and JEW also at the same fest, so could be likely.

Why you say that? Plenty acts are shared with the 2 events as already mentioned!

because Toms post was clearly a "You idiot they aren't playing and I have complete faith in MattDavies reply".

well that's what it came off as...

Bit more to add to the QOTSA rumour- its looking likely they'll be in Paris R&L weekend

Also looks like EODM will be around next summer, although not sure when

Is that to hint they won't or will play?

"add" means the rumour has grown stronger.

True.

Yes, they'd be doing Reading, Leeds and Paris. Three days that weekend, which is more than one, so where did this next post come from...?

Okay then so no QOTSA?

Sums up my thoughts.

This guy gets it. Three, more than one.

No, his post (Com, by the way) was more of a "What the fuck are you talking about? They will play the three shows that have been mentioned. Why, after being told they will play these three shows, did you then start saying they'd have to play more than one show (as crazy as it sounds, three is more than one), and then decide that all of the post saying they'd be playing all three made QOTSA less likely?"

I think you guys misunderstood Matts post. I get the impression he was saying QOTSA would have to play more than one night, as in they'd have to keep more than one night free for R/L as it would be two dates, so would having a date elsewhere that weekend rule them out. But they are all right Matt, it probably makes them more likely for R/L if anything.

For the record, My Chemical Romance played Rock en Senie right after Leeds in 2011. It just makes Queens more likely to play in R&L next year.

To be honest, Queens are one of the very few acts we know are in Europe in August 2014, so we're pretty certain that they're gonna be there. Them playing Rock En Seine is a nice indicator but I think their likelihood was already at a maximum level.

Interesting you picked them as an example - most Rock En Seine headliners play R+L. :P

i smell gazzism in the last page or so
