be careful what you wish for is the motto i'm afraid.

I feel like Oasis are the Stones of 2014, not necessarily about glastonbury or any other festival... just it's the will they won't they to the same scale.

"Will the stones actually play glastonbury?"

"Are Oasis actually reforming?" etc etc.

All I want is to be shocked. I'd prefer a band I wasn't expecting so much more than QotSA/Paramore & Arctics. I like all three of them to an extent but knowing we've got them 8 months before the actual festival has taken the fun out of it for me.

Why do you come onto a forum where most of the posts are about people trying to find the lineup for the following years festival then? A genuine question, obviously there is other festival/music related chat but most people are here to find sources that know info or people making reasonable guesses

I am no doubt going to be baited for this suggestion, but Oasis released Definitely Maybe in August 1994. They might play it in full next August to mark 20 years..

Why would you be baited for something that's likely to happen and had been discussed here before? Unless you're suggesting R&L would get them ahead of other festivals.

I thought Muse's OOS set was brilliant at Reading 11' but judged Green Day's Dookie set to be a massive disappointment. Just felt too forced :(

I'm seeing The Blackout play The Best In Town, 65 Days of Static play The Fall of Math and Rx Bandits play The Resignation in full in the next few months coincidentally. Looking forward to all three enormously :D

jesus, is every band just doing any old album in full these days? i'm not sure about the other two, but was The Best In Town really a good enough album to justify being played in full? full album shows are hit and miss at the best of times, but to just do any old unexceptional album just seems weird

American Idiot in full would've been more appropriate for today's R+L goers I think.

I agree but the crowd weren't the only thing that made the whole this average for me. Just seemed like a lack of effort from Green Day themselves. Some of the songs were ruined for me due to a lack of flair from the guys themselves :/

It is The Blackouts best album. That being said I know a lot of people on here don't like The Blackout so they would probably consider it shit...

I personally think The Best In Town is their best album by far. Great live band too - mainly the reason Im going. I only found out about them playing the album in full after I had purchased the tickets.
