Andre91
I was thinking it'll be Disclosure, BMTH & The 1975 headlining, but not sure if they'd have 3 acts who all played in 2013? I think The 1975 will join Disclosure as NME headliners, but I don't think BMTH will. If they play then I think it would be main stage again, as they got a really big crowd this year. Although them in the NME would be awesome, but absolute carnage.
jonodillieono
On Avicii I notice that he is playing in Germany on the 16th (ruling him out of V maybe?) and then nothing until the 29th again in Germany... I could him (or is it a group?) playing Leeds due to the sucsess of Disclosure/ Skrillex / Knife Party this year... Dunno what everyone else thinks Nope, much bigger much bigger than those 3 you listed. If he ever played he'd need a bigger slot and that would not be offered to him. He'll headline Creamfields just like he's seemed to do for the last 3 years running or something Edited December 24, 2013 by jonodillieono

Can see The 1975 headlining the NME but not BMTH. I don't see a heavy act headlining the NME stage in 2014 due to the lack of heavy acts this year

dentalplan
I'm still not convinced of The 1975 headlining NME. They could be big enough but I just don't see it happening for some reason. V would be foolish to let them slip through their hands I suppose. BMTH on the other hand, no way. Babyquack
Copping has taken a great interest in BMTH lately, possibly because he recently booked them for DL? Perhaps they'll do Donnington and not R&L?

Radio 1 & NME love them, and I reckon they're easily the biggest 'new' (I know they aren't new as such but you know what I mean) indie band around, so I'd say they're certain to headline or sub the NME. It'd be foolish of FR to not book them.

Plus with all their EPs, and a 16-track album, they've easily got twice as much material as alt-J for example, who people were wondering if they'd be able to fill a headline slot

the wonderwhy
1975 still sound like the fucking Kooks There are a lot of dodgy indie bands you can say they sound like (although they're better than that) but the Kooks are definitely not one of them... I think there's a few similarities in the way Matty and Luke Pritchard sing, really breath-y?

dentalplan
I think there's a few similarities in the way Matty and Luke Pritchard sing, really breath-y? Yeah I can hear it. Yellow's hit the nail on the head there. It's like Iglu & Hartly replaced their shitty rap vocals with a heavily reverbed Luke Pritchard. Andre91
I like them. I thought their EPs were great and their album is decent too. Saw them at Leeds this year and the FR tent was rammed. Saw them at Rock City in September and they sounded really good. Then headlining the NME would be a great booking.
