I saw Chvrches for the first time at XFM's Winter Wonderland thing and they were phenomenal! In hindsight I too would have missed GD to catch them. Gutted but hey, clashes always happen and there's always a few you regret!

In fact, the FR was easily the best stage this year

I would agree - some of my favourite acts this year were on there. I also thought the BBC Introducing stage was particularly strong in comparison to previous years too! The Undercard made this year for me. Biffy were fucking incredible though! :P

Yeah Chvrches are really good, liked they're album too.

Surfer Blood > Chvrches > Crystal Fighters is a pretty good run actually. In fact, the FR was easily the best stage this year

I did a clashfinder a few weeks ago and found out I'd have spent most of my time there, but it probably wouldn't have been the same had I gone. I guess people just don't find they get their money's worth hanging around gobbling up all the new bands really.

Yeah, this is why I didn't go. Seen most of the bands I would've gone to for less than 100 quid

how much is it to see an Eminem or Greenday concert?? (trying to work out if i got my moneys worth :sarcastic:)

I think GD was £40 this year at the Emirates and I hear many different prices for Eminem but I guess £50 - £60 (I've heard £80 though but I don't know if this is true). Anyway I saw 22 bands but out of those 20 full sets so it would be around £10 per band so I think I got my moneys worth...

I saw 34 bands - so about £6 a band. Definitely worth it! haha :P

The people I was going with fell ill and went home each night (they live in Slough so only 15 minutes on the train). They never got to the festival until around 2:30/3:00pm so I would get into the arena early and just see as much as possible. Discovered a fair few great artists + got to see many new bands I had only listened to on record :) But yeah, I actually still have a scar from a blister that I got on the Sunday. After it all my feet were wrecked haha :P

I was by myself in the arena most of the time and I always went in early and on Fri and Sat I saw the first act (Bury Tomorrow and WSS) and started with LTA on the Saturday. I think it was because I was at the main stage all the time (I only saw two bands that were't on the main stage which were Crossfaith and Modestep :P ) so I got longer sets. I actually did discover much at the festival, only Bury Tomorrow as I heard a snippet of their song the night before so I thought I would try them out. Most of the bands I had discovered or listened to (or for the first time for a few cases) were because they were on the R&L line up and I wanted to get my moneys worth. I also had so much I wanted to see so I would rather see a band I love than someone I haven't heard of before. Maybe next year. :)

Also my feet are still a mess, then something happened but it was a bit gross (Thanks gweb for telling me, got into a bit too much detail). Worth it though.

GD was 60 for standing at the emirates. 40 was brixton.

I was both at the front and back for GD. I started at the front but due to the state of my feet whenever someone stepped on them it felt like my toe had exploded so I had to move at the end of Boulevard of Broken Dreams
