Really? I'm not overly sure. Most of my peers love C&S and would take or leave Florence. She's big but I'd say they're on an even footing there

Uhh, that's not really relevant to their size - your mates could love Baby Godzilla but that doesn't mean they're bigger. Florence has been subbing major fests and headlining medium ones for a while and is probably gonna headline a festival in the UK next time she plays. C+S are just stepping onto her level at the time she's leaving it.

They're both arse.

This gives her a reprieve here doesn't it?

Fair point I guess but I just think Flo has reached the peak of her popularity while C&S are still growing. I don't think she's big enough to headline next time she plays - it'll be a sad day when she does though as I can see it happening (I can see C&S headlining soon too though!) D:

Did anyone see Pitchfork's 2013 readers poll?

Kanye West won best album, most overrated album and most underrated album, which is almost like something he'd say himself. Also won best live act, best album cover and best musician Twitter.

Year of the c**t.

If pitchfork readers are anything like pitchfork writers then none of that surprises me.

Where has this QOSTA/Paramore thing come from? the thought of Paramore headlining...

Luckysalt told us the headliners were Blink, Arctic Monkeys and QOTSA/Paramore. Seeing as no one at all thought Blink would headline, and then they were announced, it seems like more than just a coincidence. Also Arctic Monkey being a strong rumour now on here lends even more weight to it.

Thinking about it, Lucky also said Jay-Z would headline V, so perhaps those posts by Keese not so long ago were genuine? That would mean Arctic Monkeys at R&L, Jay-Z and JT at V, and Eminem at T. That'd also fit what was said about T having two "international headliner artists" on the Saturday night; Eminem and a dancey act probably. Just thinking out loud here.

I've been off here for a while mate

Fair enough.

We got word from Luckysalt that his source had told him the headliners were Blink, Arctic Monkeys and an evening coheadlined by Paramore and Queens of the Stone Age. Initially - even though Luckysalt is mostly accurate and always reliable - a lot of people didn't believe it too much with Arctics being taken off the rumours and announcing huge outdoor dates, Blink being too recent and coheadliners being a shit idea. Then Blink were announced and Arctics have grown back into a strong rumour and QOTSA are announcing August dates, so it's widely accepted that's the headliners for 2014.

Of course, it's 100% - it never is until we hear it officially - but that's the general thinking here.

EDIT:

WILL. YOU TIT. :ireful:

 So much effort, so little point.

When you say "and coheadliners being a shit idea", I think a more accurate description would be "and Blink being a shit idea, Arctic Monkeys being a shit idea, and coheadliners being a shit idea". But hey, details.
